On one hand, I get that the kirpan is required by their religion.
On the other hand, what's stopping someone from creating their own brand of Christianity that requires a Bowie knife to be worn at all times? Why should the school respect one religion but not the other?

Sikhs are indeed a very nonviolent religion on the whole. Every group has a few assholes but they have less than most.
That being said, having separate rules and carve outs for one group and not the rest of the student body is ridiculous and probably unconstitutional.

It was just a generic comment, my apologies.
I'm a SIG guy through and through. My primary (situational) carries are a 320X Legion Carry in 9MM w/ Holosun green dot reflex, and a UC1911 Nightmare in .45ACP. I own a couple Glocks (23 and 21) but for my primary carry it's nothing but SIG.
As an aside, those pistols were lost in an unfortunate marine mishap as soon as I hit "submit".

As for my EDC, I like my Beretta 92X Centurion. I had never been a fan of Sig until our trip out to Montana last year when I decided it might be time to have something other than bear spray since we were going out there right about the time they were going to be fattening up before winter. I wound up selecting a Sig P220 10mm (Scorpion model) that totally changed my mind about Sig and brought me on board. I absolutely LOVE that P220, but it's a tad bit too large for EDC. (38 ounces empty weight)

I’ve met a bunch of them. Had a coworker that I lived with in Africa who was a Sikh. All of the ones I’ve met have been upstanding cool dudes. What’s your experience with them besides asking some AI bot to cherry pick some random violent acts over the years?
