We require all students to submit proof of either a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. Unvaccinated students must test on a monthly basis throughout the semester.

I know heads will explode on here, but this seems reasonable.

If you don't want to vaccinate for any reason, fine. But you will be routinely tested.

So...

1. taking an unproven experimental drug

or

2. using a test which is invalid on its face

seems reasonable?

Will any student uprisings over this be reported positively by the media, or is that reserved for students espousing left-wing causes?

Meanwhile, those vaccinated individuals can still catch covid and spread it.

LSU furthers its decline.

I would think they can't get much worse until I remember the other university in town.

Yeah, I prefer this to a vaccine mandate.

and vaccinated students/teachers can still catch and spread the Delta variant and most likely the other variants that are coming; yet, only the unvaccinated need to be tested? absurdity at its finest. And still nothing about natural immunity. Unbelievable.

Testing asymptomatic people with an inaccurate test? What could go wrong?

So, you actually think they have a test that detects covid-19. Please explain how this test works.

Of course, I'm talking to the retard that thinks magically unicorn masks works - science and all.

From what I have seen, the tolerant left would like for testing to become prohibitively expensive. No more free testing for unvaccinated they say.

So, I can see it go like this...
Don't get vaccinated if you don't want to.
BUT
You have to test weekly/monthly, and the fee is $1000.

Our school system has stated that teachers who aren't vaccinated basically lose pay if they have to quarantine, even if they test negative.

As son as we close the southern border, this will be reasonable. Until then, it's theater.

Vaccinated people can get and spread the virus. Why wouldn’t they also be tested? It is so fricking stupid!

So what will they do for tailgaters, game goers, visitors, and other potential spreaders?

Public sector employees? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I said correct masks worn correctly, do work. The public doesn't use the correct masks and don't wear them correctly.

quote:

Overview
COVID-19 diagnostic testing is done to find out if you're currently infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved these types of tests for diagnosing a COVID-19 infection:

PCR test. Also called a molecular test, this COVID-19 test detects genetic material of the virus using a lab technique called polymerase chain reaction (PCR). A fluid sample is collected by inserting a long nasal swab (nasopharyngeal swab) into your nostril and taking fluid from the back of your nose or by using a shorter nasal swab (mid-turbinate swab) to get a sample.

In some cases, a long swab is inserted into the back of your throat (oropharyngeal swab), or you may spit into a tube to produce a saliva sample. Results may be available in minutes if analyzed onsite or a few days — or longer in locations with test processing delays — if sent to an outside lab. PCR tests are very accurate when properly performed by a health care professional, but the rapid test can miss some cases.

Antigen test. This COVID-19 test detects certain proteins in the virus. Using a long nasal swab to get a fluid sample, some antigen tests can produce results in minutes. Others may be sent to a lab for analysis.

A positive antigen test result is considered accurate when instructions are carefully followed, but there's an increased chance of false-negative results — meaning it's possible to be infected with the virus but have a negative result. Depending on the situation, the doctor may recommend a PCR test to confirm a negative antigen test result.

A PCR test called the Flu SC2 Multiplex Assay can detect any of three viruses at the same time: the COVID-19 virus, influenza A and influenza B (flu). Only a single sample is needed to check for all three viruses, and this could be helpful during the flu season. But a negative result does not rule out the possibility of any of these infections. So the diagnostic process may include more steps, depending on symptoms, possible exposures and your doctor's clinical judgment.

Willie bit both heads here.

Students will be half and half…both sides loud because they are kids and they just wanna be mad.

Teachers and professors didn’t want to go back and instead do virtual learning all semester.

So glad I graduated college before Karl and Heinrich and Mao started teaching.

- They have no test to determine that you have covid-19, they have a test which using mix of the flu, common cold, etc. A positive does not mean you have covid.

- A vaccinated person can spread the disease, and possibly at a greater rate on future variants.

- A vaccinated person can be infected with the disease, and there are no real way of telling how effective it is on new variants as there is no test that can accurate say whether someone has covid-19.

Its a a policy that doesn't do anything.

That might be asking a bit too much of the LSU President.

Well yes, some of it is. He has to balance the concerns of his employees (professors) demanding a vaccine mandate with the concerns of students (and their parents) some of which don't want a mandate but almost all of which want to return to in-person classes and activities.

This seems like a good middle ground.

Where are you getting this?

Is this the theory that there was an aerosolized spike protein released originally?
