Yes.
The instructions tell you what to do.
You probably misunderstood the poll worker.
Gotta be locked in at game time, son.

I have messages to the SOS and my wife is texting a local representative. I tried calling SOS but no answer. I will go back to the voting location tomorrow and ask in person if I have no answers. Will report back.

Is this a new system that will be used on election day as well? If so, why change what was working?
Posted on 10/22/24 at 10:27 am to Jake88
No, just an early voting procedure.

OP, get ready for your IRS Audit, you won the lucky ticket.

Nope I didn't misunderstand. They told me again while standing almost right behind me when I was done to leave it.

They always have a basket to drop the card in on the way out.

Are you sure that they did not say "leave your card in the machine until you are done?"

Pretty sure. And as I was walking out they were watching me. I'm sure they would have stopped me and told me to take it. Not sure what I would have done with it either. There wasn't a basket or anything with them sitting there. Just someone with a sticker who didn't ask for it either.

A lot of words to explain that you messed up your vote.

Nope. Not over 60. I did not mess it up. I was guided by multiple people every few feet of the room on what to do.

I just voted in Mandeville and everything you explained is what I went through other than no one told me to leave the card and the machine told me to remove my card and return it to a worker once I cast my vote. All went well and extremely easy. I even got a Geaux Tigers from a female worker on my way out.

They probably meant "leave it" as in "don't walk out the door with it".

Others said they had signs saying remove your card after voting. Did you not see the signs or did they not have them.
