Just because money is approved for grants, doesn't mean that they can't be reviewed and verified that they are being spent for intended purposes.

I like how she sarcastically asked me if I knew how grants worked and doesn’t know we have oversight of their distribution

What I learn reading your posts:

If you dislike or are against anything, vote no.

It’s a definitive yes for me and makes me happy!

Thanks for keeping it simple!

1. Where did I post that(as if you have to think along her linier path only)

2. Why do you care about some stranger on the internet?(so because it’s on the internet, that’s been around for 25 years mind you, it’s somehow fake and not as personal as face-to-face)

3. Rent free(helps with her feelings of purpose)

Why did he sign it, darling? Wait, don’t tell me - this was the plan all along.

Presidents almost always sign these big spending bills even if they dislike certain parts, because the bills fund the entire government.

You don't know what the frick you are talking about.

The Supreme Court ruled that line item vetoes are unconstitutional. Presidents can't just veto the parts they don't like.

This is my problem with you. You think you know shite, but you don't. You are mad at people for no reason.

How did they misuse funds that haven’t been dispersed?

Maybe, just maybe, these are recurring grants that he simply signed renewals for. Someone NEEDS to put oversight on public education spending. It’s ridiculously wasteful.

He’s cutting government funded babysitting after school? Holy shite!!!!!

He isnt cutting anything yet...but after care programs, especially good ones like Girls and Boys clubs are pro-family programs that I would think would have bi partisan support.

My understanding of how federal grants work is that Congress funds grant programs through legislation. The federal agencies then administer the program which involves setting rules, guidelines, qualifications, etc based on that legislation. Applications for those grants are sent in, evaluated, and either approved or rejected.

Am I missing anything? If there are no applications that meet the requirements, do you expect the agency to pay out the grants anyway just because the President signed a bill?

How can they go there when they've been there since the 1980s when I was in school?

I guess dementia Don already forgot he recently signed this funding into law.

I guess local schools should work within the budget allotted by local/state available funds. Maybe throwing money at institutions that are routinely failing to to educated their students isn't a good idea. It's probably why you are the way you are, retarded.
