Did you miss the part where I said I wouldn’t want to be martyred? I would love to die peacefully in my sleep at a ripe, old age, with no conflict and no suffering by myself or my loved ones. Wanting to suffer and being willing to suffer are different things.

And yes, it would be an honor to suffer for Christ’s sake. That is the biblical message (Acts 5:40-41; 1 Pet. 4:12-19) and that’s how the martyrs thought for 2,000 years, from the patristics suffering under Roman persecution to the reformers suffering during the Reformation, and those persecuted up until today across the world. As Christ said, those are blessed.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. I actually agree with you on this, but the Christian’s job isn’t to crush Islam, but to pray for them to repent and trust in Christ, and to share the gospel with Muslims, as we are able to.

Islam is evil, and it will certainly be conquered by Christ when He returns and judges every wicked thought, word, and deed, but for now, Christ’s kingdom is predominantly spiritual, and individual Christians are not called to wield the sword of justice; that belongs to the civil magistrate.
