Have to be a pretty good pilot to hit a target moving 139 mph on a perpendicular course.

Seems hard to do. Especially at night. I mean you have to have the angle just right. Like catching a smoked right field ball from center field.

Some autist mathematician on 4chan will do this math and figure it out

My assumption is that they didn’t see the CRJ and was looking at a different aircraft.

Possibly looking at aircraft that was taking off at the same time thinking they were behind it

I’m surprised they haven’t yet.

PAT 25 was instructed to pass behind the CRJ by approach control. They ended up clipping the aircraft.

Possibly the plane in the video that appears to have just taken off. Seems plausible.

If it’s a military VIP aircraft then you’re talking about the best pilots in the world with considerable combat experience most likely.

Tomorrow morning the liberal media will be blaming all 3 for the crash

It’s a very busy airport and you can see on flight tracker the multiple aircraft in the pattern.

I’m not saying that is 100% what happened, but it’s my guess.

PAT aircraft are Nat Guard crews doing 9 month rotations. I’m not sure what state is there right now.

This is a great live feed. Monitoring DCA emergency channel. Sad to hear arrangements for waiting family and friends.

Any pilot flying a Blackhawk is going to be highly competent.

Looks like 2 Blackhawks in that video. One in front looks high. Second one that hit flying low.

Just saw the video. Chopper went right at jet. Unbelievable he couldn’t see the jet.

It’s not believable at all.
That copter appears to make a beeline for the plane.
