It’s got to be pretty hard to hit a jet with a helicopter with all the equipment on board.
I mean you have to be high or drunk to not have that spatial awareness.
And the angle should have made it easy to see with the landing lights on. Very strange.

This is starting look almost intentional.
Have to be a pretty good pilot to hit a target moving 139 mph on a perpendicular course.

Hopefully there were much fewer than that number on board, but loss of any one life is devastating.
Looks like it was next to full. So terrible.

Possible Suicide or Terrorist Attack. Remember the attacks in January were military members

This pisses me off. How the frick do you go directly at and hit a plane.

And the helicopter’s flight path was directly across the runway path. WTF?
This is starting look almost intentional.
The investigation will be interesting. The plane was on final approach and would be trusting the way is clear. The helo flying directly into what should be an easily visible plane in controlled airspace is baffling.

There are possible survivors but not confirmed. Not many though.

Why is a helicopter pilot even flying in a commercial airline runway path?
Confirmed Blackhawk.

Man this really looks intentional.

The flight tracker sites like Flightaware etc. showing the dreaded 'result unknown' status for JIA flight 5342.

Somebody do the math based on the height of the fixed camera video vs known height and speed of plane heading down.
It's doable but I'm lazy.

Seems hard to do. Especially at night. I mean you have to have the angle just right. Like catching a smoked right field ball from center field.

This was my very first thought watching that vid.

PAT 25 was instructed to pass behind the CRJ by approach control. They ended up clipping the aircraft.
My assumption is that they didn’t see the CRJ and was looking at a different aircraft.
