These ^^^ are the people who live in denial of all the domestic and geopolitical turmoil tearing this nation apart and it's not Trump's doings....it's because Trump was targeted by a consortium of Anti Trump Forces ranging from those who want globalism to those who want cultural Marxism/Fundamental Transformation.....in their minds Trump is the greatest threat to their dreams of some LWO/one world order quasi utopia.

Because they do as they are told by their overlords.

Envy is a primal and driving force in Human society. (The Book "Envy" by Helmut Schoeck is fascinating and informative for those who choose to understand the basic dynamics.) With the 'pack'/tribe mentality not far behind. Marxist/Egalitarian Ideology is manifest as the societal 'equality' principle and the psychological implied social contract which unites a society and makes them stronger against outside threats. United we stand, divided we fall. As such, it is a (supposed) superior moral (practical) idea. Rejection of this (morally superior, altruistic?) idea is an afront and outrage to them that embrace it; therein, the contempt and rage.
Capitalism/Constitutional Individual Freedom is the antithesis of the above, as it establishes a moral (God) imperative for limits on the societal ("mob rule") rights of individuals who would slack in their civic duty, and let other more responsible members bear the cost of their immorality/irresponsibility.
Trump is the 'flagbearer' of Individualist Ideology, and he is right when he says that they hate him, but "it's really you" that the Collectivists are coming for.
IMO, the ideal societal principle would be one wherein society focuses on the weak links in the chain, with policy that guarantees the basics of life but not without QUALIFIERS toward fulfilling daily civic and moral societal burdens and duties. Of course, that would mean coercion (abridgment of individual freedom) as the weak are forced to do the right thing. That is Communism in effect.
Bottom line: we live in a Spiritual Universe (IMO) wherein people live and learn and ultimately make an 'educated choice' in creating their ultimate Reality (subjective perceptive paradigm). We are in a 'buffet' of sorts, with each person choosing their path and exploring the consequences therein. We watch others to learn consequences as well. In effect it is a "wheat growing amongst the tares" scenario; the roots are intertwined, and we fight for the nutrients upon which to empower our "pursuit of happiness" and freedom. It's 'wailing and gnashing of teeth' for power. And when power comes from the acquisition of money ("money is the root of all evil") then the dog fight is on. That is where we are. Capitalism ("Darwinian Economy") is considered the rules for a fair fight; Collectivists reject such as immoral, as they do not believe that God gave people their just reward in this life, but that it's a "life's lottery" scenario. There is no gray area; it's one or the other.
The experience of Perceptive Reality is essentially one of 'Feeling'. I.e., "happiness". That is a high bar, and the lowest at the same time. Some of the most powerful can not attain it, some of least powerful will. "The kingdom of heaven cometh not with observation, behold it is WITHIN". Heaven is the feeling of Love. Love is a 'lens' wherein it colors all of the Perceived Universe. God, as manifest to it's 'Children'.
"War in heaven and on Earth". The battle for moral superiority of the two competing Ideas. Merit-based, Spiritual prosperity via refining a loving character, or a 'prosperity' which is based on Self Worship over that of the Whole. Satan's original 'Idea', demanding equality with God in effect. The Left hates Trump because they view him as the latter.
It's been live and learn every since 'Adam and Eve'. Good enough. Lord have mercy on them who love.
Sunday sermon. TLDR

I'm in the same boat, but people want to call me a Leftist for this stance
Trump's 4 years was a pretty huge failure and almost every policy I consider positive has been reversed. He also rejected one of my biggest policies (reducing federal spending) in historic fashion.
NOBODY has given me a rational explanation how things will be any different for another 4 years.
All I get is "mean tweets" responses.

As a Christian, if I use this litmus test I probably couldn't vote for any candidate.

But they got elected. There is no reason Trump can’t present himself in an appealing package and govern like you want. Those two are not mutually exclusive.

They can't.
The people still giving him their unwavering support aren't doing so because of policy.

What's more befuddling is the people who are so shocked by Trump's personality, are not more shocked by the social, political and financial repercussions we are experiencing now.

Yep, they most certainly want more out of their leaders.

Yep. He upset the order of things.
What's really telling in some is that they don't see that the Gov literally is putting people who descent in jail. Ending their ability to talk about it in public. etc.
