Had Trump simply done that, he’d have recognized what a dumb country boy recognized in late March 2020 - Covid was a threat only to people who were old, or sick, or both. And he would have governed accordingly. He didn’t.

He tried that. The democrats wanted nothing to do with him. Look at immigration. He offered DACA legislation (against his own parties wishes) in exchange for a wall. The democrats refused to work with him, despite the fact they supported a wall just a few years earlier.

I watched almost every press conference March to June. I never once saw Trump disagree with the policy of lockdown, crushing only small business, and money printing

Because losers in life have no clue what to do with masculine energy. Honestly- Trump haters are a collection of angry, unattractive women and weak men.

It’s hard to wrap my head around anyone who will willingly vote their child into a future saddled with disastrous policies, social chaos, ever increasing authoritarianism and perhaps even war simply because the people implementing those things present themselves to be nicer in public.

You do realize that how the president behaves has an influence on our children right? If you have a president that is name-calling and acting like a clown then kids see that as an acceptable way to behave if it will accomplish their goals.

You missed a few press conferences, then. Just a few examples based on a quick search, I'm sure there were many more.

Wealthy powerful people in the US hate Trump because he had the audacity to think he was one of them when he actually worked for his money...the nerve of some people.

Idiotic leftists hate him because he does everything he can to ensure they do so his base will love him that much more.

Centrists hate him because he is the polar opposite of what a leader in the US should be.

The only people who do not hate him love him like he is a rock star because he makes liberals cry and gets by saying the things they don't care because of their life choices and the fact that they have to have a job. Most of those people will prove to be completely reprehensible if given more than 30 seconds to do so. That doesn't help his cause at all because who wants to be compared to someone who claims democrats are lizard people pedophiles??? No sane person concerned about their own public image that is for certain.

To sum up the power class hates him because he deigned to be one of them despite having worked for a living. The nerve.

The left hate him because if they did not he would not exist and he does everything he can to make certain they do so he can remain relevant.

The center hate him because he is the polar opposite of what a leader should be...well spoken, humble, intelligent and able to listen to those who think differently with some patience and with an open mind. Trump also needs to center to oppose him in order to bolster his approval among the base.

I agree with this. I think where people get confused is the "Trump hater" part.

You can find headlines like that, but you can also find headlines where he's throwing governors under the bus for not following the CDC's guidelines and opening too early. You can find headlines where he criticizes Sweden for not locking shite down.

But who cares about headlines? What we know for a fact is the economy was cratered, tens of millions of kids were stunted in their development, a shite ton of money was spent needlessly, individual rights were infringed upon, and how we elect a president was dramatically changed - all under the guise of the Covid emergency.

Trump presided as the most powerful man in the country over this whole shitshow.

And he was responsible for the CDC, who provided all the bullshite "science" used by tyrannical (or weak) governors to do all of the above.

The truth is that they have been told to hate him. More than half (a significant more, IMO) can't address issues logically anymore. Opinions are largely based on rhetoric.

And, that's not to say Trump is perfect. Obviously, he's not.

I don't care about the headlines, either, per se, just dispelling the notion that he never spoke against the lockdowns in any press conferences. That just wasn't so.

You've certainly identified the anti Trump Consortium's largest demographic.

Hell no...I know a con man when I see one. He ain't gettin' a red penny from me but working the long con is work compared to what the wealthy and elite have done to have whatever wealth they have. Most of them inherited and did little or nothing to be incredibly wealthy. Trump also inherited but he also worked the long con....he is about as blue collar as a billionaire in the US can get in this day and age. The fact that he says he is a billionaire and many accept that as a gospel truth is an amazing amount of work on his part. No, I ain't adding to his coffers, I ain't staying in one of his properties, I never watched the buffoon on TV and I ain't buying nothing from him nor doing business of any kind with him.
