Have you interacted with someone famous in an off the record setting? Every single one of those politicians are every bit as coarse (if not worse) as Trump off camera. It's the same reason a lot of people respect Bobby Knight. Unlike the "polite" coaches, Knight had no "on camera" persona. Ask anyone that's spent time around Coach K, and you'll soon realise he was meaner than Knight ever was.

After watching his childish outbursts on the campaign trail?

Because if you thought he had a better temperament and less ego than Trump, then I don’t know what to tell you.

He had the audacity to be rich, flamboyant, vocal and passionate in his efforts. He’s expressed the issues since the 70’s and was liked by all , the reason his name and appearances in so many movies or conversations. He made the mistake of going up against Hillary as a Republican

And I see the willingness to overlook his personality as selling out my morals. We just disagree on what we are looking for in a president. You asked though why he is disliked by lots of people. I still believe this is the issue.

If you voted for Bill, Hillary, or Sleepy Joe, then you have no morals to speak of.

Because he lost to someone who didn’t leave his basement and then claimed fraud before and afterwards (which may have happened) but was unable to prevent it nor rectify it.

He was so incompetent his lead off press conference was in front of four seasons gardening and his lead attorney was dripping hair dye in the second one.

For that I will never vote for him in a primary again.

His personality, media coverage and peer pressure.

Lefties may hate Republicans, but they can still view the more timid "civlized" 'pubs as human. Already being programmed to think Republicans are hateful, add Trump's arrogance to the mix and it is easier to dismiss him as a demon. Also, of course, the media attacks and malleable minds of voters. At least a quarter of the country still believes Trump digs Nazis, injects bleach, and that he randomly grabs women's crotches as he struts about.

And all of this venom stifled conversation, some people afraid to express Trump support. On more than one occasion a best friend expressed positive things about Orange and "you're one of only two or three people to whom I would say that".

In large liberal cities, expressing Trump support was almost a sin, so Orange Man Bad mold was allowed to grow without interference. Not only did it get louder, in LA Chicago and NY it was the only sound allowed. Rather than actually ponder his platform, many centrists doubted themselves and just found it easier to just agree with everybody at the water cooler.

It just shows how clueless they are. This is why I say they're brainwashed: they're conditioned and pressured into feeling negatively about Trump. That negativity needs a "body" to live in so that they can process it, so the congeal into specific feelings. Once they have the feelings, they need the justification (backwards logic - you get your conclusion and decide the rationale afterwards). Then they think the rationale is both legitimate (since, after all, their feelings confirm it) and that they came to that conclusion by themselves ("I'm a smart baw and my team had a winning season so that proves it").

This is why you get what you deserve, to have such poor, girly logic decide the fate of the country. You're a half-step away from voting for a guy based on the crease of his pants. You're unworthy of freedom.

I don’t understand this. What do you love so much about the fiscal issues we are currently in?People can make all the excuses that they want, but you did not just stumble your way into being a billionaire.

Why would I vote for a person in a primary who while President could not secure an election nor prosecute their case in court nor in the public eye?

It allowed Joe Friggin Biden to occupy the White House.

There must be better than that

Of course not. I voted Trump twice and if forced, would again. Conservatives who want a better country know you can’t have a better country unless you win, and you can’t win with 49% support. So put your country ahead of your own wishes, and do the things that earn 51% support.

Stop with the “better’n Biden” characterization. That’s not the comparison you need to be making. Compare what Trump is to what he could be if he simply tried.
