Thanks so much for posting this. I wondered why Trump was so much more aggressive this time around. That makes sense

Now Trump knows how the game is played and has experienced, firsthand, how corrupt DC is, he is sufficiently motivated.
He's had 4 years to think about this and this time has a much much improved team to help him achieve his goals. Hegseth, Kash, Bondi, Bongino, Lutnick, are all smart, have good presence, and are great speakers that communicate well and so far appear to be loyal.
Much different from his first term.

I remember all the TDS folks telling us no way Trump would win, he won. Then they assured us that he would again surround himself with terrible cabinet picks and advisors, wrong again.
Now those same folks are telling us how badly his foreign trade and economic policies will fail!!!
Lol...

I have no idea what you're talking about in that statement

Then I can only assume you haven't really followed the arguments people are making and what they think a trade deficit means.

Rand has, and he was trying to dumb it down so people can grasp the fundamental mistake they make when they say something that stupid. I guess he needs to dumb it down further.

I think it's economically efficient to do so.
So YES, you like getting cheap shyte from other countries.

Their economies are at a different stage of development and labor is cheaper.
Labor is cheaper because they provide no benefits or work protections. They have no child labor laws.

The conclusion that your own statements leads us to is "You like getting cheap shyte produced with child labor at slave wages." Your own statements prove this. Why is my pointing it out emotional?

Tariffs are here and you're gonna have to live with it... I LOVE it, you don't. Tough.

Doesn't matter, that's the method you want to use to determine who gets their industry subsidized and who doesn't.

This same principle explains a lot of differences between Trump 1 & Trump 2. The party has seen the writing on the wall for awhile that the base wants officials to obey Trump and not to check him, so if you look at almost any current White House official or cabinet secretary and compare them to their Trump 1 counterpart, they're more sympatico (either they agree or are at least not going to push back). And yet, pushing back is what checked Trump's worst impulses and recklessness, so we're going to get worse governance.

Turn your keyboard over and tell us where it's made.

Then do the same for your shoes and your clothing.

Then STFU about buying American.

You're trying to turn this into a personal thing to somehow attack me, and I'm talking about America. It's economically efficient to have lower-wage workers do menial labor so our goods are cheaper.

Labor is cheaper because they provide no benefits or work protections. They have no child labor laws.

Again, they're at a different stage of economic development.

We once had the same issues. Taiwan as well.

Spoiler alert: it's still a better, safer, and more fair option than their society WITHOUT these jobs. That's always the part leftsits ignore.

quote:

Why is my pointing it out emotional?

Because you're focusing on "slave labor" and ignoring how this is a better opportunity than the alternative, devolved economic opportunities.

I agree. Having had the 2020 election stolen from him turned out to be the best thing for his second Administration.

Your new job at the glue factory is really going to cut into your posting time - at least until you get your neurolink chip to allow you to cybernetically post to the droppings from the factory floor.

Enjoy the next 46+ months under President Donald J. Trump, I certainly will. Hope you cry until your eyes drop out. Your tears are delicious.

Nothing personal about speaking the truth. I bet the southern slave owners (aka original democrats) used a similar argument. Todays liberals often use the same argument about illegals and picking crops. More evidence of you being a lib.

Again, they're at a different stage of economic development.
So we can exploit them? Hmm. Seems like an argument a liberal would use.

You seem to be the one getting emotional over "slave labor"...

So more jobs bad? How would more jobs mean working harder instead of smarter? What is your definition of a low paying job? How much more money is leaving Americans pockets now than in the past? My taxes haven't changed.

And they're still open. And then the trades, which have a huge demand for the labor not being filled. Etc. etc. There are jobs. The people choose welfare and other lifestyles instead.

A job created by turnover. Retirement, death, ect. These are not new openings that are created. Not to mention there will be numerous applicants for each, possibly hundreds. Yours is just a naive and quite frankly inaccurate way of interpreting this narrow data set.

What about China are you taking offense to, exactly, then, if not the government subsidies to promote their exports? Or are you just virtue signaling with no substance?

I’m more offended by your lazy logic and arguments in this moment. I feel confident you are at least vaguely familiar with other potential advantage enjoyed by China as a communist country beyond just “subsidies” so you don’t need me to explain them to you.

Being willfully obtuse is your main tactic and it’s a race to the bottom. Good luck with that.

Trade in 7/12s for 5/8s? Doesn't sound that bad.
