What exactly is she protesting?
Is she not allowed to compete for the United States?

I have an 8 year old daughter who is a decent soccer player. She isn't gung-ho about watching on TV or anything, but she and her friends have a fun time playing together.
We were in NYC a few weeks ago and the Women's National Team was playing their final tune-up game in town before the World Cup. I was thinking about going and letting my daughter see her first big time soccer match, but then this player came out with her anti-anthem/anti-Trump rhetoric. I was on the fence about going to the game, but this pushed me over to not going. We aren't watching them on TV either. I know my "protest" doesn't matter, but I just can't bring myself to root for this kind of behavior.

You know the really sad part? During the 2011 Cup, after scoring a goal, she ran over to a field mic and started singing "Born in the USA" for her celebration.
How she went from that to where she is now is proof that TDS is real.
Probably also really upset the traditional gal with the pink hair bow and model looks on her team gets all the attention and endorsement deals.
