I for one love watching the World Cup and specifically watching other nationals sing their national anthem with pride. Always feels as though its only the Americans who dont passionately sing theirs.
Its not customary to not sing, its a choice whether or not to. It doesnt bother me when people dont choose to sing it, but it gives me goosebumps that others, no matter what shithole theyre from, proudly sing theirs. Wish ours did the same and set an example of how to be proud of your flag and country.

What do you want to force her to do, dance? If she's standing there silently, no one sees any protest at all. She isn't doing anything. She certainly isn't "ignoring" the anthem because she is standing and standing still. But it doesn't matter to you because you want to control people's thoughts. You assume she is thinking disobedient thoughts, and that makes you furious.
If you are angry because an athlete is standing still and quietly during the national anthem, the issue is you.
