I think there are going to be some serious fireworks this offseason being launched from Adam Silver’s office. They’ve got a massive stake in this league and I think he’s given them enough rope to capitalize on the wave of fan interest in the sport. Unfortunately, it’s pretty clear that those involved in this league are more committed to petty behavior settling scores and not to its long term health. The commissioner is probably going to be the first to be eliminated and I imagine the refs are going to feel his wrath as well.

The WNBA has obviously made it their agenda to go after Clark and Cunningham. They're white, straight, and good, and after years of the WNBA being in existence and no one caring... Wherever Clark and Cunningham play now, they actually have crowds (mostly white, I'm sure) to come out and see them... and the WNBA and other players resent it like a motherfricker.
That fricking league and 99% of the people affiliated with it are trash. I'll never watch a WNBA game, unless they take up the recent offer for the best WNBA team to play a high school boys basketball team for $10 million. I'll watch that game and laugh my arse off.

I think the coach is being too charitable about the neck comment, but the hard foul thing is something that happens all the time.
What I do find silly, though, is the ridiculous framing of the thread title. This place has become too much like the rest of social media: Posters compete to put the most ridiculously hyperbolic spin on relatively mundane events just to see how ginned up they can get engagement.
In a lot of ways, this is why nothing gets dealt with in good faith anymore. The "boring" work of actual policy loses energy to outrage porn.
So fricking childish.
