Where in hell were the AD?
Was the swarm of drones and missiles so large that they just overwhelmed the AD?
Possibly.
It's also possible that the Russian Air Defense is as capable, well-trained and ably manned as the rest of their military, which is to say they are completely incompetent and their against their will.
Either way, this continues until the war ends.

Russia is not outright attacking a NATO country...it's not going to happen.
Wrong. They are not invading a NATO country - big difference.
Here is a list of Russia's incursions into NATO's airspace, including ones that resulted in drones and other things landing and damaging/destroying something. It's now well into the hundreds:
Russian Drone and MIssle Strikes and Incursions into NATO
I'd like to say that the Russians are smart enough to not attack a NATO country, and that's probably the case despite their horrible decision making up until this point.
What I do think is the plan is to keep antagonizing NATO, or do what many in Europe think is going to happen and attack their infrastructure through hybrid attacks and goad Europe into attacking Russia. At which point Russia plays vicitm, lies and manipulates all the right-wing nationalists in each of the European countries to blame the Ukraine (kinda like on here) and attempt to play NATO off against each other.
I'd say it's unlikely, but he has some success with it, but he certainly got his money's worth out of Orban, and now he's backing Le Penn in France, who has a lead in the upcoming French elections, and Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.
Like on the battlefied, expect more of the same

I'm not going through all that but a quick glance, going back a few months, shows:
quote:
A Romanian F-16 flying Baltic Air Policing from Šiauliai destroys a Ukrainian drone diverted by Russian electronic warfare over southern Estonia
quote:
A drone crosses from Romanian into Bulgarian airspace undetected by either country's surveillance and explodes near the Kardam border crossing, roughly a kilometre from a Trans-Balkan gas pipeline compressor station; Sofia's preliminary reading is a stray Ukrainian Maya decoy, not deliberate.
quote:
Latvia's armed forces identify the drone an Italian Eurofighter shot down over Balvi on 14 August as Ukrainian: it entered from Belarus, most likely diverted by Russian electronic-warfare interference during Ukrainian attacks on Russian ports that night
quote:
President Gitanas Nauseda says after Lithuania's State Defence Council that the Kaišiadorys drone was a Gerbera type, "most likely" a Russian drone intended for Ukraine and diverted by Ukrainian electronic warfare,
Seems both sides are getting weapons to fly off course...Do we call all of these attacks?...of course not.

Translated from original Russian using iPhone:
quote:
In the Slavyansk direction, units of the Russian Armed Forces are working on enemy positions in Slavyansk and Nikolaevka. In Rai-Aleksandrovka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carry out counterattacks through a stronghold west of the ruins of the village.

This is very obviously true but not convenient for THE NARRATIVE

Exactly.
We know Russia respects their neighbors and would never attack them and Ukraine doesn’t know what they are doing.

The White Knight arrives!
Do you want to make up something I didn't imply to complain about, or do you want to provide some sort of counter to the obvious truth that in modern warfare things that aren't intentional targets sometimes get hit?

It's one thing for a drone to fly off course, that's going to happen to both sides.
It is an entirely different thing for a drone to fly off course and hit a facility being used to support Ukraine. One is plausible, one isn't

I agreed with you about accidents happening. What more do you want me to go, say Russia would never mess with their neighbors on purpose because wd both know that isn’t true?
We also both know Ukraine would do anything to get help from others and would do snugging to impact Russian war efforts.
The thing is Europeans know what Russia has done in the past and what they are capable of doing. Thats why Sweden and Finland rushed into NATO and why most European countries boosted their defense spending and are helping Ukraine.
You can watch ho we Europe has reacted to this war snd know without a Doubt Europe sees Russia has s major threat accidents or no accidents.

Yeah this sounds like strictly you agreeing
If you think "accidents sometimes happen" means the same thing as "every incident is an accident", get some help

I don't believe I implied anything to the contrary.

It can be argued that if Trump did what he promised during the election, the war would have ended over a year ago.
Initially, I thought it would be; however, the way he allowed himself to be manipulated by Putin has been a real disappointment.
And let’s be honest, doyou believe Zelensky should care if diesel is costing us five or six dollars a gallon when attacks on the Russian economy is helping his country’s war effort? I would do just what he is doing.

I didn't go through his entire posted list but...has that happened?

Not yet, you need to read back through the conversation.
This originated with the question of would a drone strike on a European company supplying Ukraine be considered an attack. Someone responded with the statement that yes it would be but only if it could be verified as legit. Which lead to the series of responses that prompted my response you asked about.
No, it hasn't happened yet, but if it did happen would you consider that a reason for NATO countries to invoke article 5?

Aren't the Russians helping 3rd world migrants cross the border in the Baltic and other states? Or at least were doing so?

The border between Belarus and its neighbors to the West used to be rather porous. So yes, they exploited it. From 2021.

SULAIMANIYA, Iraq/HAJNOWKA, Poland Nov 15 (Reuters) - When Kamaran Mohammed travelled with his wife and three children to the Belarus capital Minsk last month from their home in northern Iraq, they went as tourists.
They were among thousands of people provided with tourist visas in recent months with the help of travel agencies in the Middle East working in partnership with tour operators in Belarus, according to documents and witness accounts.
A few days after arriving in Minsk, the family made its way to the Belarus-Poland border, joining a wave of Iraqis, Syrians, Afghans and others, attempting the hazardous and sometimes deadly crossing into the European Union to start a new life.
Migrants and travel agents in Iraq and Turkey described the relative ease with which they have obtained documents for passage to Belarus in recent months.
Despite the cost - Iraqi migrants said they spent between around $1,250 and $4,000 reaching Minsk - thousands have made the journey, getting visas with the help of Belarusian firms and taking commercial flights that have become more frequent since the spring.
The surge in migrants has been aided by a small industry of travel agents, companies, smugglers and drivers seeking to take a cut of the profits, according to those travelling to or at the frontier.
Several migrants near the border told Reuters that Belarusian border guards helped them try to cross into Poland or turned a blind eye when they did so. Two migrants separately said they handed them wire cutters.

And again...with proof...yes.
But I'm not wanting US troops put on the ground anywhere if there is a possibility it WAS caused by the other side. They seem to be pretty good at figuring those things out now.
