Trump said his relationship with Zelensky has improved significantly since their Oval Office meeting. Zelensky replied, “This is not the end,” and Trump called it “only the beginning.”

Trump said the U.S. will give Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles, while Zelensky said Kyiv is starting work on a drone deal with Washington. Rubio said Ukrainian deep strikes are making it harder for Russia to defend its airspace and could create room for negotiations. Trump called the strikes on Russian oil refineries an escalation that could help bring the war to an end.
We'll wait for Trump to have his mind changed for him, but the Kool Aid is strong. That license plus the EU money is winning defined.

The New Weapon Behind Ukraine’s Battlefield Success
Spoiler... It's mid range drones.
The New Weapon Behind Ukraine’s Battlefield Success
Spoiler... It's mid range drones.
quote:
Ukraine’s mid-range attack drones force Russia to either take expensive or time-wasting security precautions in how it delivers troops, food, munitions, and fuel, or else risk further losses. “It’s going to make it more difficult for Russia to advance, because it’s going to increase the cost for them,” Lee said.
Ukraine is doubling down on the tactic. Strikes targeting Russians 12 miles or more from the front line have quadrupled since February, Zelensky said in May, calling it a “priority.”

Ukraine advancing in Kostyantynivka? Another Russian general arrested by the FSB? Russia is using a Swiss Cheese Air D in honor of the World Cup victory by Switzerland?
ISW reporting
quote:
Key Takeaways
Ukraine’s intermediate-range strike campaign against a multitude of diverse targets, including Russian air defenses, petroleum product transport, other logistics, and electrical substations, is collapsing logistics in occupied Crimea.
Ukraine’s successful intermediate- and long-range strike campaigns have forced a reckoning within the Russian ultranationalist information space, causing commentators to blame the Russian federal government for failing to create a cohesive air defense system that can adequately protect private businesses and critical infrastructure from Ukrainian long-range strikes.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reportedly arrested the commander of the Russian 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade (51st Combined Arms Army [CAA], formerly 1st Donetsk People’s Republic Army Corps [DNR AC], Southern Military District [SMD]) on corruption charges.
Ukrainian forces conducted long-range strikes against Russian military assets and energy infrastructure in Russia.
Ukrainian forces recently advanced or maintained positions in Kostyantynivka.

They probably aren't getting paid and get a day off due to the strike.

Any Putin lovers left on this board? Have they all been identified as bots? Not trolling just asking because I have not read the thread in a while. Also how do the Zelensky haters feel about Trump giving Ukraine permission to manufacture Patriot missile interceptors?

I don’t see this as bullish for Ukraine at all. I see this as, our stocks are depleted. We’re not giving Ukraine any more and basically don’t have any to give. But we’ll let you manufacture them. Good luck with that. It will take years if ever before it actually happens with this new arrangement where in the past we were just shipping them to them. Ukraine already has a zero interception rate on ballistic missiles. They have a big problem and allowing them to manufacture the interceptors in the future doesn’t solve it.

Uh, you know that the main purpose of the Patriot PAC-3 interceptors is to hit cruise missiles, don't you? Not ballistic missiles. As far as I know, the only true ballistic missile that Russia is using is the Oreshnik, which has poor accuracy anyway.
Patriots have intercepted lots and lots of the cruise missiles that Russia has been using to strike Kyiv and other cities.

Jake Sullivan saw that quote and had a heart attack.

I doubt that Ukraine has actually advanced in Kostyantynivka. I think that what's more likely is that previously claimed Russian advances were fake. Russian commanders have to advance, or they lose their jobs. So, they send a man or two to infiltrate with a flag, so that the Russian drone filming can show that his unit has occupied more territory. It's just so stupid.

I agree. And now they are all out of them. And we aren’t sending more. So..

Yes, we are sending a lot more of those PAC-3 interceptors. The Europeans are buying lots of them from us for Ukraine under the PURL mechanism.

Finished it for you.

Being a Zelensky fanboy is weird as frick. "Oh I just love this foreign leader who wants to drag us into a war and talks shite about us when he doesn't get his way".
Hating him is too strong too, but the Zelensky worship is fricking pathetic. I don't give a fiddler's frick about any world leader except for Trump and he pisses me off half the time too.

I will be interested to see their manufacturing rate on those if they do indeed start producing them

They were before we expended 800 of them in the first five days of the Iran conflict against annual production of 750 per year. We don’t have enough to sell the euros to give to Ukraine.

I bet they launch their own Patriot Missiles before the war is over.
In fact the way things work, they already started months ago and they just announced it.

It will.
And like I said below, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ukraine had a head start.
