Florida counted 11 million votes in about 2 hours....
It's different counting in Florida. We're talking Arizona. The heat and Haboobs make counting much more difficult.

If he's ahead by 59K, and she only picks up 40k of the remaining votes, she would still lose...What am I missing here?
He is ahead 50k votes total. 59k votes in 1 County are going 80% to Lake. That should net her 40k votes and cut his lead to 10k votes. They still have 700,000 votes to count after that.

Because she had the audacity to question her governor’s race and there are still a good bit of republicans who don’t want to see people calling out election integrity winning because it shows people either agree with her or don’t care. They also don’t like the whole “former Democrats infiltrating our party” thing and have spent the last 4 years saying this is going to backfire and we’d only win if we stuck to Reagan conservatism.

It would then swing based on what was posted earlier in the thread, about Maricopa County counting from Phoenix out. Phoenix is blue and is surrounded by nearly all red.

Do you think it's Republicans voting for Gallego?
She's carrying Republicans at a clip that's typical. And obviously the 30% of Dems in AZ are voting for Gallego. Generals in AZ are typically determined by the 35% of independents.

Like I said a few days ago, McConnell gave money to Hogan and nothing to Lake. Could very well be the difference. He needs to get the hell out of congress.

They said the blue areas were counted first. Lake has been winning each batch today

It would be a show of DT strength if he got her into the senate. He/Vance were in Arizona far more than was necessary to carry the state in the race for president. It was all about getting her past Gallego.

I don't know how people are able to discern this or if they are just making it up as they go, but there was a post saying almost none of Scotsdale has been counted and that should be bright red. The problem is not knowing where the remaining Miracopa vote will come from...downtown Phoenix or the more red outlying suburbs.

But Lake is a bad candidate
Well, she is. But she'd make a good senator, especially in comparison to f'n Gallego.
And to the X post you shared - - - understand that Dewitt was MAGA AF. He served in Trump's administration and was his national campaign CFO in 2020. That little stunt was Kari Lake rolling Trump's guy in AZ under the bus.

That explains slow rolling the vote for sure.

We’re under a realignment, so I’m sure there are a few McCain Republicans voting for him as crossovers one last time before they change their registration for good. I have not looked at the data or exit polls for that race and state, but I feel like a lot of indies will have voted for her, offsetting those McCain Republicans if she wins.
My theory would be, for indies, that it comes down to who is more radical? The media didn’t touch it, but if someone is even just a little bit out of the MSM bubble, they would’ve seen his track record. I might be biased, but I think most reasonable people would look at his past and views and see that as much worse than her saying her election was rigged.

How is that acceptable? There is no way this should take "more than a week".
The confusion comes in the term "cast ballots by mail". In AZ, everyone gets a ballot mailed out to them. They fill them out, and then sit on them until election day. On Tuesday, virtually the entire state drove over and dropped off the "mail ballots" at their voting places.
So AZ winds up with weeks of mail in ballots coming in on the last day of the process, and now has to start going through each one. Maricopa County had 300K ballots dropped off on Tuesday
One thing that changed since 2020, is that at the stop time on Tuesday, every collected mail in ballot had to be counted, and the counts from every precinct is logged with the SOS before any processing can be done. That way the max # of ballots is known before starting, and there's no way to "find" extra ballots as the process drags on

Realize the McCain was a Democrat by the end of his career. He just never changed his party affiliation, but electorally he was supported by Democrats and Independents - not so much Republicans. The AZ Republican party censured him for his shitty voting in the senate, and that was a few years before he cast the deciding vote for Obamacare. The AZ Republican party even censured his wife (after he died) for comments about Trump and the 2020 election. He was upside down with AZ Republicans towards the end of his career.

Who doesn't want Kari Lake to win?
The RINOS that cheated for Biden and Hobbs.
AZ is a very corrupt place.
They are terrified Lake will expose them all.

The New York Times data reporter writes the following about the race this morning: quote:Updated 7h ago Alicia Parlapiano Data reporter Most voters cast ballots by mail in Arizona, and counting typically takes days. Officials in Maricopa County, the state’s largest, said before the election that full tabulation could take more than a week.
I love how the media so condescendingly report on why it’s taking so long instead of reporting on why the frick do they hold elections this way instead
Make the deadline a week earlier…hire a shite ton more people for Election Day to move through them faster … or do literally the opposite of what you are doing and pick any other states process instead
Stop being fricktards

The big IF in this equation is whether it is Election Day or Early Vote being counted.
And how the Ballots are being processed.
Across the country on Tuesday, battleground states reported their Early Vote First. Generally led by counties that had reformed and had intense scrutiny.
The pattern seems to be holding in AZ thus far. However, her break is not mirroring Trumps. If they are processing individual full ballots 1 at a time that difference will need to be accounted. If the races are being tabulated seperately she is currently cruising.
