Maybe he's doing this to bait the loons.
Put up a Charlie Kirk statue, The loons get triggered and come to vandalize it, Loons identified on campus and thrown out on their asses.
Kind of convoluted but the plan might work.

I'm a fan of Charlie's work, but what reason is there for putting a statue on campus of someone who had zero ties to Louisiana or LSU....besides Jeff Landry using it as another chance to pander and bring attention to himself.
If Landry wants to do something productive related to Charlie Kirk, maybe he should look into why Loyola is blocking a TPUSA chapter from forming there. Especially since Landry is a Loyola alum.

I'm not opposed to the statue... but Landry proposing it is slimy. Political theater. Dude acts like he's some red meat conservative, then behind closed doors parties with Dems and their rich trial lawyer buddies. frick that nerd.
