For Halal chicken processed in a traditional large processing plant (like the ones that produce regular chicken) there is no difference except that a blessing is said by a "qualified" person or a recording is played.

Not surprising if you've been to Toronto, not only food vendors, but also grocery stores are widely stocked with Halal foods. It's only the beginning in that province.

Personally, I think KFC should double down on pork products. Maybe add some pulled pork sandwiches and other stuff. Maybe add bacon products.

Holy moly none of that is relevant here. I will try this one more time, and then you are on your own. Try to read carefully; use your fingers if you need to. I’ll try my best to limit the syllables in the words I use.
Halal is a method of preparing chicken that has 0 impact on its flavor. Therefore, people that love KFC for the taste have no reason to stop going. Very different than men who are repulsed by a naked trans woman on a sports illustrated cover. But now KFC has access to a large group of customers that previously would not dine there.
Now, if the amount of KFC lovers who now stop going in order to take a principled stance against this outweighs the new customers, this will prove to be a poor business decisions. If the opposite is true, this is a wise move. To argue this is only about being woke and makes 0 financial sense only tells me you don’t know diddly poo about running a business.
