TN Mayor calls out FLOCK
Mayor Glenn Jacobs called for a "nationwide pause" in the deployment of Flock surveillance cameras on "The Sunday Briefing," arguing the technology raises constitutional, privacy and safety concerns and lacks sufficient safeguards.

About what? Be specific.

I don’t understand the push back on these cameras. This has been going on for years and all of a sudden it’s a big deal? We live in a surveillance state. You walk around with a fricking camera and hot mic in your pocket. You have mics and cameras all over your house the government can tap into if they want. And we’re worried about the fricking cameras on the streets to catch criminals?

He’s wrong on all counts. There no difference in these cams and the ones being sold by other vendors or owned by municipalities. Is there an error rate, yes, about the same as traditional policing. Is a tool, it’s not a judge jury or executioner. The USSC has already ruled about privacy in public.

My round the corner neighbor is a local yokal cop. Dudes gut hangs to his knees. Hes fricking useless. They got a little club here where I’m at, chief has him a little Facebook page. There’s no reason these losers need access to that much info. They’re barely functioning cops.

So much rape and murder have been stopped.
Wake up. Flock cameras will be used for surveillance and minor infractions. To keep us in line. People are still getting raped and murdered and flock cameras don’t do a fricking thing to stop crime.

I can choose to have none of that. But if I choose to have it, I have decided the benefits outweigh the costs.
What benefit do I derive from having Flock track my movements?

Do you want one beside your driveway? If you don’t have one I’m sure that you can request that one be installed.

They’re probably constitutional, but they’re bad policy. Like the speed and red light cameras.

I think if our founding fathers could have conceived of a massive distributed private camera network where government law enforcement is the biggest customer, they would not have allowed it in the constitution. It is not humanly possible to track a person's public movements like these systems can with their machine learning indexing approaches.
This is what I'm talking about when I say that the AI DC build out is ultimately trying to recreate some aspects of God to assist in the continued effective disenfranchisement of the people in this country. Normally, taking away people's political rights leads to revolts but if you can track all their public movements, link and summarize all their online activity, etc then you have effectively created the system from Minority Report. You can just stop revolutionaries before they even realize they're one.

It's interesting that thomas massey was fighting the flock cameras and then aipac threw a billion dollars behind ed baalreign's campaign to unseat him

So you would be ok if the govt mandates ankle monitors? Or imbedded GPS to locate people with ease?
I mean, you said we're in a surveillance state, Its the next step.
