You have a problem with your local police, not Flock cameras. Flock cameras ARE NOT red light or speeding cameras. They are not watching you all the time. They are basically LPR cameras, i.e. license plate readers. Enter the license plate number and issuing state.and determine where the vehicle suspected of a crime has traveled. Most people here have no idea what they're talking about. And they are invaluable solving crimes, especially those crimes where the suspects cross jurisdictions. They are not big brother spying on you.

The problem is that flock is a private company and the government/law enforcement are able to obtain footage/tracking information directly from them without probable cause, subpoena, or warrant.

Because their customer is primarily law enforcement and government. The system is built for that usage. All states and local jurisdictions can participate as they please, meaning it's not integrated in all fifty states and all counties/municipalities in the country. Cameras on interstates are used for traffic management.

Geez. We need someone to come up with some kind of device that somehow creates a signal that fricks with these things.

Weve gone hundreds/thousands of years without this level of surveillance, but now it's something we can't live without. We are being turned into Chyna by this govt.

All things can be corrupted. No doubt in people being concerned about their privacy and rights..I'll never argue that. As a tool used correctly, this is a big winner in solving crimes. In the wrong hands, it's as dangerous as the handguns that are routinely stolen from unlocked vehicles.
