Democrats and liberals will love the policy until their kid has to spend 45 plus minutes on a bus to go to school 20 miles away.

Someone needs to tell her that even black people figured out busing was fricked up.

Actually it(busing) did work. I'm guessing it works better in some areas than other.

Is it normal for black kids to have below average parental upbringing? What % of blacks have average and up?

Actually it did work
Because it was a fricking train wreck that actually harmed the people it claimed to hope to help MOST

65% of African American children are in single parent homes. Around 25% of white kids are.

I think intact families are about the only stat that would come close to addressing this, so I get why you would post this. But obviously just because your mom (probably) in this case didn't remarry does not mean she would lower her expectations of how a child should do in school. She probably never had them.
On a side note, I saw a stat that says black kids are better off in a single household under fathers than even with a mom and dad. Only like 1% better, but damn!

Lower the high and raise the floor, or spreading the IQ wealth around the state to make it look like racial equality is even a thing.

This should be a question for the self styled “black candidate” Kamala. Cite these stats and ask her what policies she proposes that will address this issue?

I will say our school systems need drastic change. They actually are segregated...as are houses. Everywhere I have lived has a "black" side of town. What we really need to do is change how schools are funded. Standardized testing and property tax is not a good way to do it. The rich basically get better quality school. Shouldn't be that way for public schools. Each school should get an amount per student. Should be that simple. Not sure why it's still done this way. May be the only thing I agree with Democrats on.

what is crazier is that the very people who hate busing and are most negatively impacted by it will support her for no other reason except that she is black...and not even from American stock

In many places the poor performing schools have a higher per student spending. This isn’t a money issue. The “rich” have better schools and are rich for a reason and it isn’t something govt can fix.

Each school should get an amount per student. Should be that simple.
Basically, your premise is based upon a false sense of the information out there.
Washington DC for example spends almost double the national average per pupil.
Some of the best school districts in the country spend some of the least per pupil.
Good students are cheaper to manage and teach.

Somebody should point out the increased carbon footprint and stress on the climate that would result from busing. Those buses can't run on warm fuzzies alone, they would be making the evil oil and gas industry even richer.

In Los Angeles, there has been a proliferation of private schools. A big reason is that no one in the neighborhood of the local school wants their kids attending school with kids from out of the area. Those schools then turn into 90% out of neighborhood kids who don't care about the neighborhood. they litter, vandalize and shop lift. Brutal.

You need to research how money is allocated to schools.
