You can throw all the money in the world at a school but until there is a parent willing to give a crap about their kid's education - money is not the answer.The culture has to change or it will only get worse. Busing created the problems that we see today. Those that could seek out better options did. I was in high school when they forced us to different schools in the middle of the school year (1970). My brother and I transferred to a private school but we were perfectly happy at our integrated school across town. But, it was across town and that was a no-no. Private schools popped up everywhere in 1970 and it has only grown. It's a complete mess but throwing money at it is only part of the solution.

We have some great black neighbors that take pride in their homes, but once section 8 gets ramped up, there goes the neighborhood.

they do from states, then the locals can choose to tax themselves if they need more.
