This election really about to become a referendum on busing?

My kid will not go to a school that this nonsense occurs in. I worked hard to get away from these types of people for good.

She hasn’t figured out that if white people will move an hour outside the city to safer school districts, they’ll move 15 more minutes. Or 30 more minutes. Or their kids will. So that in 20 years we will be having this discussion about “segregated schools” again.

Someone will get to her. They’re going to tell her to shut up about this.

And he goes on to describe how his family, he and therefore his children, are descendants of slave owners, not of slaves. In other words, Kamala Harris's ancestors presided over a real plantation. Her family, her ancestors owned people. Her father's out getting this on the record 'cause he's not crazy about some of things she's out there saying.

Hope she keeps making an issue of it.

shite guys. I didn't even realize when I posted this that Bernie and Warren endorsed it too:

quote:

Federally-enforced desegregation busing — one of the most heated policy debates of the 1970s — has taken center stage in the Democratic primary after a tense exchange between former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., during Thursday's Democratic debate.

Now, candidates across the board are being asked for their position on the issue presently, as schools across the country remain largely segregated to this day.

On Sunday, Sen. Bernie Sanders, a 2020 presidential contender, told ABC's "This Week" he thinks the "resegregation" of schools and communities "is a very serious problem."

"We need to build public education in this country," Sanders said. "We need to make sure kids go to community schools which are integrated, and that means we have to focus on fair housing legislation and enforcement. Busing is certainly an option that is necessary in certain cases, but it is not the optimal."

"Does anybody think it's a good idea to put a kid on a bus, travel an hour to another school, into another neighborhood that he or she doesn't know? That's not the optimal," Sanders continued. "What is the optimal is to have great community schools which are integrated. That's what I think most people want to see, that's what I want to see."

Warren, asked Friday at a Rainbow/PUSH event in Chicago about her stance on busing, told reporters that she has "already supported legislation that uses busing as a way to help diversify communities and strengthen communities."

"I'm already on the record on busing and using busing as a way to help communities that are diversified," she said.

Bernie is especially hilarious because he opposed it in the 80s. So now this really is about to become part of the 2020 platform. Old Joe is going to be forced to back it.

She's as clued in as AOC. At least she didn't say schools today are concentration camps.

Well, between Biden self destructing on national television, and Pillowbiter Pete telling everybody how super gay he is, and Beto spouting pigeon Spanish on TV, and Kamala backing forced busing 40 years after the fact, I’d say the Dems need a fresh batch of candidates.

How about not turning certain school districts into slums? Put more focus on school and bettering one's family instead of clothing, music, and video games.
