Why would she have been in Alameda County (East Bay, Oakland) in the summer after her first year in college?
She went to college in D.C.. She had lived in Montreal with her mother since she was 12. Her mother lived in Montreal through Harris's college years. During this time period her father lived in Palo Alto, too far away from the East Bay to make it worth a commute to work at McDonald's.
As silly as it sounds, I really hope the Trump campaign makes a big deal about this. Her whole appeal is identity.
