Then you must not have gone anywhere because to do any daily business outside of bum frick town.
People have worn masks forever and if people themselves are sick will wear them out of respect to others.

The amount of spit on the mirror has nothing to do with the amount of virus on the mirror.

I've noticed older folks wearing masks while cutting their grass since I was a kid. I assumed they had allergies and wanted to minimize their intake.

People with weakened immune systems wore masks long before COVID.
In my blue westcoast city, I could go on an errand run tomorrow and see dozens wearing masks. Some alone in their car still.

I was at a bar last night and saw 2 people on a crowded dancefloor, dancing together, both with masks on. 
Needless to say, they were not regulars.
It was pretty much an all white crowd in my story from last night, but probably a little younger and progressive than the normal crowd, which is usually older white and black mix. Not that I notice race.

Some people have cancer and in treatment which weakens their immune system making them susceptible to infection of any kind.
Or else they are caring for someone in that condition and don’t want to catch anything so they’re being extra careful.
I recently went through that for 27 months.
So not every single person wearing a mask is because of Covid. They would probably be wearing a mask if Covid never exist existed.
Be careful who you get snarky with.

Mostly just Black folks and Chinese around here in Houston. The funniest are the ones in a car by themselves with mask on .
