The initial response failed, so made sense to pivot.
If conservatives keep leaning into and embracing the jokes, the jokes become unfunny/uncool and South Park moves on from making them or South Park digs their heels in and goes overboard with it and loses the perceived neutrality of the show and becomes what everyone else is on the far left.

Three pages so far, and the majority of replies are from one progressive that is melting over the fact that they are taking this humor and running with it. His group would react with violence and threaten cancelation while calling the comedians "nazis".
