Nobody, other than some old guys from the establishment, wants you to run Kasich. You'd have no chance in a primary against Trump.
Trump has tax cuts, looks to have North Korea. If he can get one more big thing accomplished, he'll probably have enough to run on.

Kasich running as a third party candidate would be Ross Perot 2.0. He will obviously not win but could still get ~8% of the vote, which would alter some close states.

Is there even a coherent party to bring back to anything? And I think you could ask the same of the Dems...I think this last election shattered the post-Nixon Rep/Dem parties.

Perot got 19% and 8.4% the two times he ran. Even if Kasich steals 3% of the vote from Trump, that would alter a lot of states.

Perot was a phenomenon.
Kasich is a lot of things. He's not a phenomenon. He wouldn't pull 1% as a "Third Party Candidate."
