I think the Bee had a headline a year or so ago: Man gets more conservative as brain injury heals - or something like that.

That would be healing.

And the guy who said it wouldn’t be nominated by the dems for dog catcher.

Not really. He's still functionally an idiot and still votes with the left. He supports Israel so that's enough for most of the right in DC I guess?

He's right on the campaigning part, they're more extreme than he is but that's about all he has going for him. He's still a loser in sweatpants that's never worked an honest day in his life.

Well if they don’t… if they can’t…

Doesn’t that kind of answer for the moderates who they are and for the conservatives what we need to accept?

It’s not a minority of the DNC that are like that. Some are just smart enough not to say it overtly on social media.

As I’ve observed before, he’s a Lib and he will vote as a Lib (so don’t expect him to become a member of the GOP)……

…..but that acknowledged, just a few short years ago, I never would’ve predicted or had Fetterman on my list of most likely to be the Democrat Party’s voice of reason.

John Fetterman, once a Democrat hero, now totally admits defeat. He is one of the faces of the party right? Can we consider that an actual surrender from leadership themselves?

You know the democrat party is completely screwed when Fetterman becomes the voice of reason.

He may as well do like Tulsi and say adios to the radical left. Fetterman needs to come over to the better side!

Both he and Ro Khana should at least go independent. They’re the only elected officials left with any dignity or morals.

Gotta say... I hope to Hell the Dems don't listen to him.

I will say this... some people look at politics like it's a football game, Us vs Them.

I don't want that, it's too important. I would be thrilled if I had an election where both choices, I actually agree with 85-90% of what they say, and they also acknowledge that. And I'm making the call based on who gets the other 10-15% closer to what I want.

At this point, why would this guy remain a Dem?????

He might just resemble an Old School Dem.
At one point in time, the early 90s democrats shared a lot common sense views.
Tough on Crime.
Tough on Immigration.
And cared about the debt.
Wasnt till after the milennial, they started to really go left.

Flame away.

No, he needs to stay right where he is and challenge the lunatics in his own party. Somehow that goofy bastard has to convince enough of his fellow democrats to pull back from the cliff and retreat more towards average everyday Americans

Honestly, I dont think I have ever been more wrong about a politician than I was about John Fetterman. I dont always agree with him.....but damnit if it isn't painfully clear that he is actually conscientious and tries to do what he thinks is right. I absolutely respect that, even if it isn't what I would do. He wants to help the country. ..and uses common sense. And I thought he was a complete nut job when he ran. He isn't......

And lastly, audit every member of Congress for the past 20 years. Figure out how they accumulated 10s of millons on $170k salary.

We know how they did it. They gave themselves an exemption to insider trading laws. And there's not much to be done about it because they're the only ones who can change it.

His stroke made him realize that if he wanted to keep this sweet gig for years , he should stay close to the middle. Hasn't been in long enough to make some dough yet.

That guy wouldn't know what to do if he was no longer in congress.
