My personal observation (not experience) of that process involved a padded isolation cell and essentially a paper jumpsuit, nothing else in the cell besides toilet and sink. The jailers of course have potential lawsuits to deal with if they're lackadaisical about it after a legit suicide concern became known thus they dont typically slack on this stuff.
