"Here's a simple principle. Ladies and gentlemen, American jobs ought to go to American workers and NOT foreign fraudsters and the Department of Labor is fighting back against it!

The fraud in these visa programs has got to be crazy. Hell, the sheriff in little old Oakdale, LA was caught up in one of these schemes.

I was surprised to learn many rural gas stations were owned by people from India. When I visited relatives in Pike Ky and Logan WV, and discovered this was common in the region.

Common everywhere. Surprisingly, Subways too, at least here in Alabama.

I put the over/under until this is quashed by an activist judge at 5 days.

I don't think we have an American owned gas station in a 50 mile radius in my home town not counting the Major Brands of course

They have to go back, and take all of their families with them.

If any of these were family owned the kids probably went off to school and though they were too good for this work. So, when folks are ready to retire it gets bought by immigrants.

Same with the farmers. Kids don't want to work on the farm, went to college. Everyone that didn't go to school is on drugs, in comes the immigrants to farm.

How many of you would really want to work the counter at your gas station or bodega every day? How many of you want to own nail salons?

Yeah...

The company I work for is an Indian firm, and though they may not be doing anything technically illegal, but they abuse the program.

Ninety percent of their employees in the US are on H-1B visas and thwy definitely pay them under market wages - usually by understating their seniority/experience.

They also do everything they reasonably can to keep their visa employees from getting their green cards, which gives them the flexibility to seek a higher paying job elsewhere...

I remember staying with relatives and their local gas station was owned by an old man and his family that stayed open late into the night and we'd listen to them play banjos and guitars. He would sell everything, legal or illegal. I had a great time. I really loved those people.

Yes, they are buying up all the gas stations in the region. I have a friend who owns a gas station who turned down a ridiculous amount of money. Now his business is booming because he’s the only locally owned station in his county.

They work the system by pooling their money here to buy businesses like gas stations and other small businesses...and they bring their families over. That loophole needs to be soldered shut.
