I follow LA politics, but not that well. Can I get a breakdown of everything JBE has done this year? I mean, just the high points.

There's a chance the DNC can pass him off as a moderate, and they have to give that a whirl.

i guess maybe criminal justice reform (that was also championed by the business lobby, and for which we'll be waiting for the results of for a while)

He's a Dem that won in a red state. They think he's a unicorn, and don't look at his record at all.
They are also looking at the BS approval ratings, which are only "high" because the Louisiana GOP is worthless and no one is banging the drum publicly about how shitty he is (since it's not an election year).

I think because he's standing up to the legislature who is crooked as they come. Bobby Jindal took corruption to another level. Jindal was so bad anybody could have taken over and been better.

Louisiana has been ranked the worst governed state out of all of the 50 states on his watch.. That is something he accomplished while in office.
