Where has this passion and outrage been?

They’ve been referring to the vote to remove McCarthy as a coup and an insurgency. I haven’t seen Cavuto this angry since he found out some people were taking hydroxychloroquine. Kilmeade is actually screaming and spitting, he’s so red faced with rage.

The following is an interview with TN R Congressman Tim Burchette…

KILMEADE: Those 8 Republicans will face backlash for siding with Democrats and targeting Kevin McCarthy in a historic move and stabbing the Speaker of the House in the back. One of those 8, Congressman joins us now. Congressman, you were one of the 8 so listen…Kevin McCarthy has a 96% approval rating but that wasn’t good enough for you. Do you feel good about what you’ve done?

BURCHETTE: I don’t know about 96% approval rating. Where are you getting that from?

KILMEADE: That’s the percentage of the Congressional Republicans that voted for him.

BURCHETTE: That’s not approval, you know that. A lot of members voted for him because they were forced, threatened, scared, it’s hardly an approval rating. And I don’t work for the people in Congress I work for the people in the 2nd District in Tennessee. And overwhelmingly my constituents are tired of the facts such as we take in $5T and we spend $7T, that leadership continues to pass continuation resolutions and push us right up against a federal holiday. We took off 6 weeks this summer, which we warned McCarthy against doing, we usually just take off 4 weeks but they decided to take off two more weeks. We told the Speaker we wanted time to work on, negotiate, review these bills. And I believe that’s yet another failure of leadership. Speaker can set the schedule. Ultimately the buck stops somewhere.

KILMEADE: You realize this is the first time in history that this has been done?

BURCHETTE: Maybe it’s something that…

KILMEADE: Did you call the Speaker in the summer and say hey let’s get back to work?

BURCHETTE: I raised it before we even left and I’m also upset that we’re $33T in debt and we…

KILMEADE: That’s not Kevin McCarthy’s fault.

BURCHETTE: It is partially, sure, he’s played a role in it and he should accept some of the responsibility.

KILMEADE: Didn’t he have an 8% cut offer in that continuing resolution bill?

BURCHETTE: In the rate of growth, yea, but that’s not much, it’s not even really a cut, especially when you consider how the government has been exploding in growth. And you’re not even mentioning the $33T in debt, that cut in growth is just peanuts considering the growth and debt we’ve run up. If you look at the bills that we did pass, the only one that had any real cuts was the agriculture bill and it didn’t pass because Republicans sided with Democrats but yet the defense bill which had billions for Ukraine…

KILMEADE: And so you think this is better and justified, I don’t want to talk about Ukraine…

BURCHETTE: Now wait a minute, the defense bill had $30B new growth for the Pentagon, all of it shielded from any future audit, that was in the bill, all for funding and spreading more war…

KILMEADE: So because he wouldn’t agree to an audit of our military and didn’t get every appropriation bill done the way you wanted it, you’re going to team up with Democrats and oust him in a historic first time ever move to push your personal agenda?

BURCHETTE: No, look I believe…

KILMEADE: Here’s what Kevin McCarthy said about you.

(Plays video of McCarthy accusing Burchette of not voting for him because Burchette felt McCarthy mocked him for praying)

KILMEADE: You voted to oust him because you thought he was mocking you for praying.

BURCHETTE: No that’s not true, I…

KILMEADE: It’s personal with you, isn’t it? You just don’t like Kevin McCarthy for whatever personal reason.

BURCHETTE: No, that’s not accurate, none of that is accurate. We had a pleasant, amicable conversation. I don’t know what he or you are talking about.

KILMEADE: Are you happy following Matt Gaetz, a clown that likes to blow things up but has no plan on how to actually fix things?

BURCHETTE: I don’t follow Matt Gaetz.

KILMEADE: Sure you do.

BURCHETTE: I would have voted the way I voted regardless of whether Matt Gaetz was involved. Look…

KILMEADE: Sure, sure you would have, one day you’re praying about it the next day you’re leading an insurgency. You didn’t know what you were doing.

BURCHETTE: Prayer is important to me. I pray about a lot of things. It’s part of my process, it’s not indicative of what I may or may not do just because I pray.

KILMEADE: Come on, please.

BURCHETTE: I don’t know what you’re getting at, are you saying prayer isn’t important or something else, like because I pray I wouldn’t have voted the way I did?

KILMEADE: I’m saying you’re a follower of Matt Gaetz.

BURCHETTE: Well you’re wrong and you’re not even letting me finish my answers before you interrupt and talk over me.

KILMEADE: I’m asking questions. What, you don’t like to be questioned?

BURCHETTE: No, you’re not, you’re arguing and doing so with a very negative agenda, everyone can see that. Let’s have this discussion again in a few months and see if you’re still this upset.

KILMEADE: No I’m not. Who’s going to be the next Speaker?

BURCHETTE: It could be Steve Scalise. It could be Elise Stefanik. It could be Roger Williams. It could be…

KILMEADE: So you don’t even know, great.

BURCHETTE: We have to vote on it, but…

KILMEADE: I’m amazed that you blame Kevin McCarthy for the debt.

BURCHETTE: I’m amazed that you don’t want to give him any of the responsibility for it but want to praise him for every so called accomplishment.

KILMEADE: 15 times you voted for Kevin McCarthy for Speaker but now you vote to oust him.

BURCHETTE: That’s right. I had my concerns but gave him the benefit of the doubt. And he’s been a complete disappointment. We have a serious problem and it starts and ends with leadership in this party. Some people don’t want to talk about the problem or do anything about it. Some don’t even think we have a problem. But we’ve got a real problem.

KILMEADE: I watched him for many hours, he seemed like he was working hard but apparently not enough for you. Tim Burchette, thanks for joining us.

BURCHETTE: Thank you brother it’s been a real pleasure.

The fact that the phaggot kilmeade is so hysterical in his accusatory questioning or interrogation rather...

Is a good thing.

Almost like the Dems who talked shite about Fox incessantly were right and now that this group has a Demi-God who they’ve forsaken, you’ve finally seen the light.

Score one for idolatry, I guess.

This is a prime example of why, although I have YouTube TV as my provider, and they carry all Fox affiliated networks, I use the custom channel guide, and removed FOX News, FOX Business, and even FOX Weather. They are not an option in my home, or on my phone.

All FOX represents to me is exactly what that conversation was: Anger. Tension. Raised blood pressure. Threatening conversation. Finger pointing. Holier-than-thou attitude.

My wife appreciates the fact that our home is a more calm and serene home without the static negative energy created by watching FOX News.

Done with them. Not even tempted to watch any longer. Try it for a few months. You won't regret it. It's like quitting cigarettes for three months, then trying a cigarette and discovering how absolutely disgusting they actually taste and vowing never to put one in your mouth again.

FOX is that distasteful.

* thanks to LuckyTiger, though, for the brilliant write up in the OP. Well done.

Charlie Hurt has provided the best commentary that I’ve seen, pointing out the realities, McCarthy’s failures and weaknesses, acknowledging the realities of Gaetz’s issues and the realities of the current situation, questioning the timing, etc. All with little to no shrieking and wailing or tales of woe or cheerleading.
