Not true. Legally you can film anyone in public. I don’t like it but it’s the facts.

I get why these guys film cops and government employees, because they’re in a position where they need to know it’s legal to record anything from a public place.
Filming ordinary people is just rude. And they aren’t protecting anyone’s rights. They are just provoking, hoping, for a reaction and a viral video. You never see them standing on the street in the hood filming people because they are cowards and they know there’s no big payday coming if/when they are confronted.
The guy who films the banks is a good example of someone looking for a payday.

A few questions:
1) What is the reason for the person filming the video to be filming the video?
2) Why do the people in the video care?
3) Why did "Larry Dean" post the video on X?
4) Why are you posting the X post here?
The entire event / episode appears to be a pointless "Nothing Burger" to me.
Now I am questioning myself for even taking the time and energy to ask. I guess I'm just curious.

These videos started popping up in my algorithm. The funniest ones is where they film outside of banks and the banks call the cops.
The cops then try to make them leave, before realizing they can't so anything.

They call it a first amendment audit. There’s lots of them on YouTube.
Lots of people don’t like to be filmed. And some places have a security concern.
It’s akin to rage porn. It hits a lot of folks hard because it’s “their right” to provoke people. These people don’t care that it’s rude and when confronted the people say stuff like “I don’t answer questions”. It’s 2026

Again, stand and video cops or walk into the courthouse all day every day because it is protected under the first amendment. But going to places you think will make a good video is just basic bitch behavior.

Seems like a douchebag move on the part of the people filming, while the people being filmed probably should have not taken the bait, so to speak. Just ignore the people filming and it becomes a waste of their time and effort.

I've seen some where a bank will have a desktop open with personal information visible from the sidewalk. That's their reason for calling the cops on the youtuber, rather than just fixing the problem.
