I said this a couple days ago. That somehow Israel's Mossad must have either created a business or infiltrated one the terrorist were using in order to weaponize the electronic devices.

Intelligence first; detonation second.
Israel discovered a lot of info about how they communicate.
They figured out their codes. The pagers served their purpose.
I assume they predicted beeper chatter as attack locations and times.
They would have kept going with it but there must have been a dearth in communication where they had a hunch that they were going to get rid of the pagers soon.
So a final “f-ck you”, was to detonate them.
It also sews discord among all terrorists that are given any cellphone or walkie talkie from here on out.
They cannot trust who has given what to them.

It’s not just the pagers.
They probably made drones that they can control and geolocate.
They can do things with food supply.
They can sell defective bullets and guns.
They can mail diseases to them.
This is war.
If you’re a hez camped out near any rockets, you’ve got to be wondering if they will auto-detonate in your locale at any time.
