Americans have guns. Isn't that what I always hear on here? That citizens having guns prevents a corrupt and tyrannical government from happening and citizens can hold the government accountable? If you feel helpless take your gun to Washington DC.

It's amazing how little some people know about their own country. Our education system has failed us.

This is giving credence to the people doing the persecution to be working class. The small rhetoric that the op feels as persecution is coming from ugly ppl and mostly people that have little life skills.

Badly. Have a look at the abilities and knowledge of those born after 1985

I want this shite to end, but I feel completely helpless. Like I'm just a bystander watching all this shite go down. I know the short answer to how best can I help is "Vote", but I think this is bigger than that. It feels like this has passed the tipping point where an elected official could intervene. It feels like this requires a complete overhaul.

I don’t know if you are a believer or not, but If you are, the solution is simple. ( and this is advice I need to heed more) Stop fixating on things you can’t change, and live your best spiritual life possible. Our life is but a vapor compared to eternity, and the second this life ends, all of what happened here about politics and trivial issues will no longer matter at all.

I'll say what I said during election season with NO apologies to Godwin:

The Democrats have adopted the mindset and many of the tactics that led to the rise of Nazism in the 1930's.

However, the Jews/Nazi analogy obviously includes racial oppression of a minority group, so it doesn’t really apply here.

Correct in a sense I guess. The majority is starting to see racial oppression in every sense. Tearing down history, told to be less white by employers and leaders, criticized for almost everything they do, stereotyped at all angles as being racist when in fact it is the other way around in most cases.

I agree that our freedoms are gradually being chipped away. But, there are reasons. I remember when people could pull up to a gasoline pump, take the hosed fill up, walking into the store and paying the bill. When enough dishonest drivers discovered that they could drive away and not pay began to take their dishonest toll, along comes rules which made everybody have to pay first, or use a card to guarantee payment. This example could be applied to hundreds of ways humans have throttled their freedoms. And so, it goes on and on.....

I question all history taught in the West, including WWII history.

It's like neo-McCarthyism with a steroid injection of hypocrisy.

They call us all fascists and literally sky scream it from the streets, while ultimately participating in open fascism.

I agree that there's definitely something mental that must've been similar to what pre-holocaust Jews felt, but we have much more solace at this moment because the gov hasn't confiscated firearms yet. Once they abolish or just completely ignore the 2A, it's over.

Well, if you are Jewish please note some of your brethren do run the Federal Reserve, control all of the media while Jewish lawyers are constantly challenging the US Constitution.

Who is our enemy?

Jews were a significantly smaller group within Germany and were very well off. Doesn't seem the same to me.

And this is precisely why people call you deplorable

You're literally comparing a few insults to being the same thing as being holocaust victims

You're soft, stupid, and worthless

I think the OP’s analogy is a bit exaggerated at this point in time, but going along, I’d say this is more like what Germans felt in 1930s Germany. They weren’t targeted for genocide, but you’d better toe the Party line.

There are probably thousands of conflicts where sizable minority are gradually persecuted for living in a manner that was long deemed perfectly fine. So I think it's just counterproductive to pick Jews in Germany to reflect that when pretty much any other conflict would do.

I agree with the person who referenced being a non-Nazi German in Germany. Watching the institutions give way to a brand of thought and being told to devote yourself to that - counterintuitive, senseless and destructive as it may be - or be deemed the opposition...that is probably more akin to the feeling, perhaps.

Yes it does. The left is oppressing the straight white person. We just aren’t the minority yet… but it’s coming
