I agree with you. Needed to hear it just sucks all those people being killed. You are right though it is not our battle and many more would die.
It is probably best to just let Russia deplete all their resources. Then they will not pursue more.

I would prefer you just take a knee in support.
War is expensive, especially one that does not concern America.

The most insane thing I've read on a board where a large group of posters pot the most insane things they can think of.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.

Yeah I mean I debate it in my head all the time. I guess it is simply is there a point where we do something or just watch people being killed?
That’s better than watching our people getting killed.

I don’t support intervention by the US or NATO, but expecting Russia to tuck tail and hibernate once this is over is probably folly.
Moldova is definitely on the menu and their EU application ensured that.

I did.
1 American life > all of the Ukrainians in this war.
Don’t have to like it but thats my analysis.

Its almost like we didnt just get out of a huge mess in the middle east. Why would we want to rush into another fight that isnt even ours?

You really think a corrupt s---hole like Ukraine is worth risking WWIII?

That’s fine and I’m not dismissing that at all. Per the general point I’m attempting to make for anyone who would intimate that they certainly would not come down on one particular side of the matter because of a certain party or organization having that position, I’d say there are unsavory groups in support of all sides of this matter. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.

It has been said by reliable sources just the last few days that the Ukraine army is killing Ukranians
Someone here(PT) provided a youtube link to an independent journalist in Ukraine.
I watched some of his videos.
In the video - the Ukrainians said that all the damage done to their homes and the local people killed was done before the Russians arrived, by the Ukrainian Army.

Ukraine could stop it faster than we could.
This isn’t a genocide, this is a political war between neighbors and Ukraine has been holding their own for more than 2 months now. If they can’t successfully defend their own country, then surrender. They’ve been given massive amounts of money and weapons. Zelensky has already been offered the option to leave multiple times and he refuses, as is his right.
If they can’t defend themselves now without US military intervention, how would they defend themselves going forward? Or are we just supposed to stay there forever?

make our voice heard
You’d be good in the military with you volunteering others, that and your disgust you should contact your local recruiter.

Bro, while I certainly get your point, should it not be understood fully and completely by anyone who enters the U.S. military this day in age that the exact type of scenario being discussed in this thread is amongst the possibilities of seeing combat of some sort in today’s world? If a recruit were to ever see any at all…..

Yeah but it’s not our problem. I mean it is now that we’re footing the bill.
Posted on 5/6/22 at 4:45 pm to Tvilletiger
Is this because of the new Top Gun movie coming out soon?
Posted on 5/6/22 at 4:45 pm to momentoftruth87
Well it usually isn’t our problem. But of course you’d be correct in saying that doesn’t necessarily make it right.

Go kill people on your own time and dime.
Don’t ask me to go with you.
