Is anyone here in favor of, or support Flock cameras?

Whar do they do thats ppl melt so hard about them

I seem to remember a pretty famous case where the FBI mislead the FISA court to get a warrant approved so they could spy on a certain Presidential campaign.

Take a guess which demographic here overwhelmingly does.

Government abuse is why we can’t have nice things. Another few examples to remember that has happened in recent years. Merrick Garland was urged to label concerned parents as domestic terrorist by the National School Board Association. I think Garland ended up writing a memo where he focused more on threats to school officials but still that’s enough. Was not some Catholic groups put on a watchlist or something to that effect? How about the people that were harassed and suffered legal repercussions for simply going to church during the pandemic? The police were just doing their jobs and enforcing social distancing laws that we now know Fauci pulled right out of his arse and sold as an effective way to fight Covid 19. If DC had all kinds of flock cameras up how many more people would have been harassed by the Government because they were caught on camera a few blocks away from the Capitol on Jan 6?

If Governments at every level wouldn’t abuse things like flock cameras, FISA Court, or the Patriot act then nobody would care if they had these tools to use. Because Governments at the state, local, and federal level seem to weaponize the tools given to them to fight crime then it should come as no surprise that people resist governments at every level having these tools.

Fully in support. This is all an unwarranted meltdown caused by social media hype.

I think if we hadn't let in a bunch of people into our country illegally, we wouldn't need them.

However, crime is rampant.

Cameras helped find the man who raped my 89 year old mom.

T,hey are a necessary evil.

They are more a symptom of the issues facing our country.

I get their potential help in catching actual criminals, but you read stories every day where cops are using them to harass their enemies, people who protest items at city hall, etc.

IF we are going to have them, access to them needs to be very narrow, and not just every cop or politician can use them.

Fully support. I’d like a 100 in my neighborhood.

It’s just a tool. The issue is always how you manage the humans that use that tool.
