Do we really want cops like this to have access to the data without a warrant?
Cop accused of abuse of a corpse
Cop accused of abuse of a corpse

The same way a cop has to give me his badge number and name but I dont have to ID myself unless its a lawful order.
What do you think license plates and vin numbers do? They are a form of ID.

I should always have more (law) protections than state or federal agents
Laws and protections should be equal. The constitution applies to everyone. But I dont think we are in disagreement.

The reverse should really not be the case.
You dont think flock cameras can be used to track government?
Equal protections
Equal databases
Good for the goose is good for the gander
I dont think we are in a disagreement. But I am pointing out that information cuts both ways.
When society fears and hides truths, that is when concerns about government should be at all time highs (epstien cameras shut off).

we already have seen a cop use flock cameras to stalk his ex GF....so it's already happened
I think Flock did not understand their ability or role in ensuring that government use is not abuse.
They have gone back and reviewed tags of use to confirm that there was a pending citation or court number with each use.
And they have reported anomalies to the proper authorities which are resulting in public shaming of the officers along with punitive action.
Just like how a camera "improves" Subject behavior, the public shaming and consequences as revealed by Flock are going to influence potential future abuses.

Well stated.
But you earned a downvote from someone who implicity trusts our government.
They walk among us.

Fully in support. This is all an unwarranted meltdown caused by social media hype.
Found the person who loves writing checks to the local government for making legal right hand turns on red in front of the red light cameras.
Doesn't matter. The left is going to either get them banned or will take them down violently for the rest of us when certain demographics raise hell for it being in their neighborhoods. Just a matter of time.

The constitution applies to citizens. It grants inalienable rights that the government cannot take away.
(The constitution also establishes a government with checks and balances)
Unless you join the military, those rights also apply to members of the government. Members of the government are also citizens.

You are in desperate need of a civics class.

Educate me.
You think the bill of rights applies to the government. They aren't government rights, friend.

Everything in the bill of rights is a restriction on government, not you. It only applies to government.
First amendment - government can't establish a religion, infringe on speech or do such things. You can, because it doesn't apply to you. You have no right to post on this forum, it's not an infringement on your freedom of speech, because it's not owned by the government. It's up to the owner.
Second Amendment - government can't take away your rights to guns. You however can most definitely make your property gun free if you want because the constitution doesn't apply to you.
Third Amendment - government can't force you to house soldiers. You can however completely volunteer and allow them in your home as you want because the constitution doesn't apply to you.
And so on.
Again, you need to take a basic civics class. You're out here supporting and voting on things while being clueless on how government works.

We should put marks on everyone's forehead so the cameras will know if they are a citizen or not.

Wrong
It applies to citizens. They are citizens' rights.
The government is not restricted in the bill of rights for non-citizens.
That is why the Bill of Rights is a citizens bill. Not a government bill.
You know this.
But you cornered yourself with the lazy comment.
I understand your point that private businesses are not restricted by the Bill of Rights.
I never said anything to the contrary (I have no clue why you needed to create an argument that I wasnt making).
We are in agreement.
Your panties are in a bunch, though, projecting strawman arguments that I never made.

We are nowhere near agreement.
You think these things don't matter, but they do.

The general rule is that nobody has a privacy interest in things readily viewable from a public area.
Generally that is accurate however there is still an expectation of privacy inside your car and it can be argued that warrant less searches are being conducted by the government
I will say it again- since 9/11 we have given up substantial liberties for the auspice of protection and safety neither of which is really happening or good

And I’m indifferent to Flock. It has positives and negatives.
However, much of the stuff posted about them I feel is overblown or includes a lot of hyperbole for affect. And it works because people don’t research shite anymore.

I'm republican, but the Republican. The Republicans haven't done enough to protect us. My first choice is to get rid of all the illegals and lots of the legal aliens.
Then, we wouldn't need Flock cameras.

Seems like the people most against flock cameras are the same people that were for everyone injecting an experimental vaccine.

I do find it humorous that people are are against flock but no uproar over selling of personal information in retail settings.
For example, Walmart does this
Walmart says it collects things including:
* Purchase and transaction history — what you bought, returned, rented, etc.
* Demographic information — age, gender, household income, education, number of children, number of cars, etc.
* Location information
* Video/audio and other sensory information
* Biometric information in certain circumstances
* Inferences about you, including preferences and characteristics inferred from your shopping patterns and behaviors.
“Person shops at Walmart. Walmart observes/records shopping behavior, combines it with transaction/account/location/demographic information, analyzes it, uses or shares resulting information for advertising, analytics, market research, etc
ZERO OVERSIGHT
lol but we are in an uproar about flock. That’s just one business. It has become essentially everywhere you shop, use an app and etc.
