To put it in perspective, they have around 500 hospitalized patients and less than 100 patients in the ICU for the whole country. That’s there “surge”. My hospital alone had more than that just a few weeks ago. I don’t think that really qualifies as “massive”.

I truly think the vax is making it much worse. The 2021 spike was much worse than any in 2020. We also see a lot more variants.
