You and I both know it's been 63 and 67 respectively for the past 2 weeks.

No, it hasn't.

As I showed you, the week from 21st to 28th of October (i..e this week), it was 14 deaths.

It's not been 67 deaths this week either.

LINK /

They just reported 67 deaths, not the fact that those 67 deaths happened over 1 week.

quote:

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Ronan Glynn said in a press briefing this afternoon that 14 of the 67 deaths announced today happened in the past week.

Why on earth are you lying?

You're literally lying in the comment above.

Stop lying for once.

It's literally a delay in recording. It doesn't mean that the 67 deaths happened last week - it just means that 67 extra deaths were added to the total death figure. The actual number of deaths last week was 14. Have you ever lived in Ireland and know how things work? I'm guessing you haven't.

You're quibbling over the difference between 10 and 14 yet you're pretending that 67 people died last week.

Did I not ask your arse this on my very first post?

Worldometers showed Ireland with 67 new deaths 2 days ago. Where do they get their information and where do you get yours? Is it slow posting of old data?

Oh yeah. So there is no way to get an actual daily death count from Ireland that is accurate.

I suppose we both are wrong.

I see why you made the alter.

'We both know Ireland had 63 deaths and 67 deaths last week and the week before' (paraphrasing).

Clearly, one person knew wrong.

Uh, when their own deputy chief medical officer says that only 14 of the deaths were from last week, we can talk about the *weekly* deaths. We were talking about weekly deaths.

I suppose we both are wrong.

I wasn't wrong. I never even talked about daily deaths, I talked about weekly deaths and I said that there were 14 deaths when I linked the surveillance data.

It clearly shows that despite case numbers being high, weekly deaths are much lower which suggests the vaccine is working.

Ireland: Highest Covid hospitalizations despite having the highest vaccination rate (91%) in Europe
They don’t have the highest vaccination rate in Europe, as they are 5th as
75% of the population is vaccinated. According to that article, the 91% refers to those 12 and over, and while that impressive if true, that’s a deceiving number to use because those that can’t get vaccinated (under 12) are still infected and counted in the data.

In addition, there daily case averages are 1/3 of what they were are during last winter’s peak and their daily death averages (9) are 15% of their winter peak (60), which is what we would expect both because the unvaccinated are less at-risk (<12) and the vaccinated who are more at-risk are less at-risk than they would have been if unvaccinated.
