Still cheaper than Minnesota's Somalian fraud that has produced jack-diddly of any value.

You have to be the weirdest poster on the board. What century did you think you were in? Wars are expensive and sometimes necessary

Still less money than the US gave to Ukraine for nothing.

How much aid has the United States provided Ukraine?

As of December 31, 2025, the U.S. Congress had made available $188 billion in spending related to the war in Ukraine, according to the U.S. Special Inspector General for Operation Atlantic Resolve. Of the $188 billion, $164 billion comes from five pieces of legislation, the last of which was passed in April 2024. The remainder comes from annual agency budgets and other appropriations.

In late 2024, the United States also provided the Ukrainian government with a $20 billion loan, not included in the $188 billion figure, provided via the World Bank and to be repaid by interest generated from frozen Russian assets.

$208 billion (Ukraine war that we arent even fighting in), divided by $12 billion (Iran war) = 17 wars we could be fighting in the future

In case you didn't notice, the cost of maintaining the military is always there whether they are at war or not. It's not cheap even when at peace. Without subtracting the basic cost of peace time maintenance from the added cost of munitions, fuel and transport for war, the numbers are nothing but propaganda for the weak of mind.

Every other country in the world seems to be able to do for much, much cheaper. Either we are inept or corrupt.

EU does a lot less for less and largely because America backs them up.

So it’s this latest military action that finally pushes it over the line to where you feel compelled to become a public defender of wasted taxpayer money. Not the hundreds of billions spent under the previous administration but this engagement that is thus far just a drop in the bucket in comparison. Maybe I have your motive wrong but to be sure can you show where you held these positions prior to Trump being elected in 2024?

Excluding what you wrote “ Of course both are monumental wastes by ANY metric.” That seems that it might be something a person would say when trying to convince that you have been consistent in your views from administration to administration. Were you against it while Biden was in office but just couldn’t publicly criticize because that is your team? Or did you start posts like this back then as well?

How much did Obama and Biden give them with absolutely no ROI and to further along the problem we are facing today?

Why does one have to be ok? They are both complete wastes of money that could have been spent improving the lives of american citizens.

That's exactly my point. One side didn’t think it was a big deal to funnel money to Ukraine. Now they’re acting like some fiscally responsible stalwart.

Now that it is coming down to rooting out the hard core IRGC gangs, Trump should consider letting/hiring highly skilled, volunteer Mercenaries to lead the Iranian common folk who will soon hit the streets as soon as they are armed. Seems that just a couple of hundred of these types could make a big difference in cost/benefit dynamics. And undermine the "no boots on the ground' narrative.

At least I’m getting awesome clips of the US blowing shite up.

We gave trillions of tax dollars to blue states to bail out their state pension funds and got no cool videos in return

No one in our government cares about or has a clue about managing money. When they have to increase the debt limit every few months due to reckless spending, why should we care?

You idiots believed the WMD crap too. You just keep eating it up. Look like fools.

The only fools are the ones who refuse to admit that Iran is working on a nuke and is a threat to global commerce and several countries.

The idea that this will be another Iraq is retarded. It goes against history. Iraq/Afghanistan is the outlier.

If you look at our history of military intervention since Vietnam, the majority of actions were short term.

Grenada - 8 days
Kosovo - 78 days
Bosnia - 3 weeks
Panama - 6 weeks
Iraq 1 - 6-7 months
Persian Gulf 87-88 - 14 months

Iraq/Afghanistan - 20 years

You people are taking the aberration and pretending it's the norm. And then you are applying your failed analysis to the current action.

Like I've said many times, you "conservatives" just want to pretend everything is worse than it really is. I don't know why people love to complain so much, even making up reasons to do so, but they do.

6 months ago, US intelligence reports said Iran was years away from getting a nuke AND not actively pursuing getting another.

That was before we bombed them in June.

How exactly are they now close to getting a nuke?

Or...did you fall for folks telling you Iran is close to getting a nuke, which we have videos of that being said since the mid 90s....

Sounds like you got duped and fell for it.

I don't mind my tax dollars being spent on this. If past Presidents would've had the balls to deal with Iran, we wouldn't be here today.
Thank God we have Trump!
