In case you didn't notice, the cost of maintaining the military is always there whether they are at war or not. It's not cheap even when at peace. Without subtracting the basic cost of peace time maintenance from the added cost of munitions, fuel and transport for war, the numbers are nothing but propaganda for the weak of mind.
