Does this mean he doesn't understand the current situation in Iran?

Iran will eventually surrender. And when that happens, half of the vocal conservatives here will claim it as a victory for Iran simply because we didn't exterminate all their bloodlines or install a puppet regime, things they never wanted us to do in the first place.

Certainly they can accomplish this with their military superiority.

Damn dude, you brought out the “hold my beer while I show you how stupid I am” post. Giving pallets of cash to terrorists is not the answer. Hilldawg and Barry running the uranium one crap through multiple communist countries is also treason on so many levels. It is about to come to fruition though.

Make no mistake, Iran’s leadership has 2-3 US and/Euro lobbyists firms employed to do polling, surveys, and consult. We will never know who these firm are but they are there.

I believe Iran’s leadership has been consultant to play to the mid-term election, which is a good idea with a more typical American leadership team. We all understand Trump plays by a different set of rules, love him or hate him.

Yes, they're fixing to break out new weaponry we have never seen and wreck devastation on us like no one has ever felt with brand new tactics that we're completely unprepared for.

They stand fully prepared to unleash this at anytime.

Every country has this and that is why we cannot get anything done. Capital hill is bought and paid for.

Tighten the noose a little more. We backed off umpteen times throughout this shite show. Let them sweat a little longer. They are like petulant children and we shut off the money, sometimes the best lessons are the hard ones.

Sanctions stay for 30 days, if they behave we will entertain discussion. If they renig after, sanction stay until they collapse. The rest of the region has had about enough too.

I think Trump calling for regime change indicates he will leave the blockade in place until it is over.

I hope so too.

Wow--I wonder why no President before Trump ever thought that imposing sanctions and economic pressure, instead of bombing, would be a better means to an end.

No, obama was much bolder and decisive than Trump, figuring pallets of cash should crush them.

Oh I forgot to mention that the revolutionaries are also fixing the irgc and their families.

Another tattle-tale and extreme pressure.

Yeah I’d say so. After all, Iran has been striking them with missiles or rockets and/or drones during this thing too. That’s an extremely significant development, definitively separating friends from foes. And Iran earning itself a few outright enemies, from all appearances.

Their power grid relies on gas. That has been severely damaged.

They have MAJOR water shortages (to the point to where BEFORE this conflict, they were thinking about moving their capital from Tehran…and it has actually gotten worse since then).

They have different ethnic groups on the inside edges of the country that the Iranians have used intimidation and violence to control. On the other side of the border are those same ethnic groups, but in larger numbers.

Not everyone in Iran is Shia. That is yet another fracture.

I would suspect that their military, outside of the diehards, is probably demoralized.

Lastly, their economy is in free fall.

This is a veritable siege, and Iran is running out of options…and time.

That is my assessment.
