After 2 doses, observed vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic disease with the Delta variant reaches approximately 65 to 70% with AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and 80 to 95% with Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty and Moderna Spikevax (3, 4)
So basically they don’t know, because it was 100%, then 99%, then 95%, now they are throwing out ranges as a fricking guess.

Ahhh. So basically what we all said early in with your 98% of hospitalizations since February were unvaccinated. And we all said that % will decline when more are vaccinated because not everyone was fricking eligible back in February.
Again, there is no reason to mandate this you fascists pricks.

Yes, the vaccines don't stop you from spreading it. seems like this is common knowledge now.

but this was bound to happen once the pool of vaccinated was larger than the pool of unvaccinated.
take your time

I like you better when you do your stupid "I'm a normal human" shtick in the wrestling threads.

This is true. The stupidity is acting like we need to "protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated". The UK data and even the accounts coming out of nearly every hospital in the US says that's bullshite, because vaccinated people, for the most part, aren't ending up in the hospital or dying in large numbers.
Then again, the vast majority of people under the age of 50 aren't dying from the virus, so the vaccine is pointless for most people anyway.

It's probably not going away until we've all had it at least once.

Except it isn’t at all and people are losing their jobs and being restricted from commerce over it right this second because of the endless vax propaganda

The % could still be lower even though the actual # was higher.

In science the more data you have the more accurate you can be.
While they may have had tens of thousands of trial patients that they used to base the 90-95% effectiveness with they now have 50 million people they can use the data for plus a longer observational time.
A new virus plus new vaccinations means a lot of small sample sizes at first so the numbers change as the sample sizes grow, but it isn’t because they “don’t know”. They weren’t lying to you, it’s just what the numbers told them at the time.

So that explains why Pfizer didn’t document the 3410 suspected Covid cases in their trial. Because they wanted more data?

It’s not total number of infected. Which you would see if you actually read the OP.

hey are literally making this shite up.

Look, I think vaccines are great and are useful but what we're seeing right now is a religion. It's like a digital version of Catholic crusades. Seems like conservatives would relate to such fanaticism about imposing virtue unto others.

Sorry to rain on y’all’s parade but this is not evidence to support your incorrect opinions on the COVID-19 vaccines.
The proper interpretation of the data is probably more nuanced than the OP, I'll grant you that. However, everything you quoted is spin baby spin. It's right there for you to read and doesn't even really take much critical thinking, how do you not see it?
It's pretty amazing these studies can present that data accurately yet still frame the narrative they want because they know how obtuse their readers are and will eat up whatever they say regardless of the numbers right in their face.

What percentage of us have gotten it according to the powerbottom phag klan?
I suspect I’ve had it.
But I don’t know many that have.
All I know were old.

This needs to be the focus instead of pushing the shot.
From the OP, the hospitalizations and death rates are multiples higher for unvaccinated than vaccinated, but as a percentage of the population, it's pretty low.
The discussion needs to be about an individual's decision on getting the shot and what it means for them, understanding that while the risk of hospitalization to the overall population is low, the number of unvaccinated hospitalizations tend to far exceed the vaccinated patients.
