It's actually much worse than that. Its a small segment of that 70% that are the offenders. 3.5% male, roughly, and of that 3.5% ages 16-30 commit the very high majority.
In actuality, it is about 1.5 to 2% of the population committing the vast majority of violent crime in the USA.

Not all kids go down that path, but it’s certainly not difficult to see the correlation between 70%+ fatherless homes and violent crime, incarceration, drug use, etc.
Do you think these are unrelated? If so, what could be other factors that could contribute to such a low % of the population commuting such larger % of crime?

My uncle is an administrator for Lafayette Sheriff's office. He told me Lafayette's crime rate would be cut down to 2% of what it is now if we just threw 200 habitual offenders in jail.

Well sure it's never going to happen but people don't need to act like there are no solutions. A very small percentage of the population commits the vast majority of violent crimes. You remove their freedom.
