My hope for AI is to be able to replace Hollywood. Would love to Cali to lose that revenue stream to hundreds of startups nationwide feeding a good story line into the AI and let it churn out some non woke entertainment.

Yeah, watched a couple episodes of Lioness about the female “operators.”

What a crock of shite. They always have to make the females out to be such badasses despite reality. It’s retarded.

I started watching The 1%Club Gameshow. I knew I'd have to deal with Patton Oswalt as host, but they always single out the 2-3 gay/trans contestants to talk out of the 100 contestants.

I don't watch a lot of new movies but usually if I do it is something from this website

Not-Woke Shows and Movies

There is also a YouTuber named The Critical Drinker that usually makes good recs for new movies that are not woke.

Didn’t a leading black actor say he was actively seeking a solid villain role to play and said it was impossible to find because Hollywood refused to cast blacks in that type of character anymore? It was a couple years ago, im sure of it

Which stands to reason. Black bad guys in movies are practically non existent

Then theres the equity bullshite the Oscar’s mandates to be award-worthy

You have every reason to be critical

The problem is the writers just aren’t very good.

It's this, and unfortunately, it's present in most studios. It's led to conspiracy theories that they are doing it on purpose, paid by China or whomever to wreck western culture. You'd think they would at least accidentally make one of these tentpole movies good with DEI casting, but they don't.

It's been done on a small scale. The Netflix series One Piece has race and gender swaps, and even a trans actor, and it's a great series. The big studios either don't have any talent or they just don't want to make good big budget movies.

My mindless/travel audiobook series the last few months has been the Cork O’Connor series by William Kent Kruger. He is left-leaning but usually does a decently fair job with the Indian affairs stuff (it’s all about Indians in the Boundary Waters).

He had the daughter come out several books ago but she sort of disappeared from the books and the author hinted that she chose celibacy over active rug munching.

Fast forward to the last and at this point hopefully final book of the series and the whole thing is about to at daughter and her “wife” (I think— I started fast-forwarding to see if it improved).

I didn’t really care about the coming out and probably wouldn’t have cared about weaving her into stories. But she was just a dykus-ex-machina type character with no really history to warrant her being the star of the book. I bailed.

Well, I do like The Blacklist. Raymond Reddington is stone cold, yet so eloquent.

That also applies to women. I liked John Wick with Keanu Reeves, not some chick.

I'll make the exception for who this chick is though

Sicario on the other hand was perfect. The strong beautiful woman got put in her place/arse kicked 4 times by men.

fricking great movie

Just watched latest MIP and it’s got several chicks that aren’t 100# dripping wet, kicking arse like Bruce Lee. I mean, whatever it’s a movie, but it’s just silly.

not in my lifetime but I would like it to enable a writer to offer a story and then you can pick whatever AI characters you want in each part.

I always wanted to see Jimmy Durante play Menachem Begin.

The worst thing for me is when I start a series that turns into a left fest. I got sucked into Yellowstone for the first few seasons and it had a terrible woke conclusion.

Lately, any time I start looking for a new series, or movie, to watch I can't get passed the dei crap.

Same, I just don't watch it. I watch a lot of documentaries and docuseries. The woke/DEI commercials on TV really irritate me.

I liked the Kill Bill films though... because I know it was that pervert Tarantino writing and directing his sexual fetishes, and it included some good dark humor and gore. They are entertaining movies.
