I can’t imagine being such a miserable sack of shite to someone who is going through a hard time. I wish the same on you and your family.

And yet magically, we have one guy who ONLY experiences cost inflation but doesn't get to pass it on in the form of his own sales prices. Quite convenient.

Farming doesn't work that way.

Horse shite. If you’re as much of a leftist as I think you are, you’re probably in the process of running your “business” into the fricking ground.

Thanks for your service and hopefully you can turn it around. The stress and weight of leading a company with 10 staff and being responsible for their livelihoods whether temporary or long-term is tough.

As for everyone else, let's recognize that inflation was started/fueled by the Trump Admin and extended/heightened by Biden and the Fed.

2017 Tax and Jobs Act under Trump includes 100% bonus depreciation through 2022 and 80% in 2023. This has fueled spending.

PPP and enhanced EIDL were under Trump.

Low rates were under both Trump and Biden - but mostly an issue under Biden. The Fed should all be fired and sanctioned for their false "transitional" inflation BS. They got it wrong and we're all paying for it for the next 10 years.

IIJA (Infrastructure), ARPA, and IRA have been under Biden as well as widespread student loan forgiveness, fiscally poor union support, and pension recovery funds. Much of this spending is irresponsible and IRA is not reducing inflation.

Ukraine, in my opinion, is buffering us from a bigger war, but I understand both positions. We need that war to end.

Israel support should be for defensive help, not offensive attacks.

Good luck to all of us in this new economy. Dollar is being challenged. Crypto is a ponzi scheme in many ways and will be the fall of some great nations.

Damn. One of the bigger a-hole responses I have ever seen on this board. You might want to push yourself away from the keyboard for a bit.

He doesn’t run a business with employees I promise you . He probably knits quilts and sells them on Etsy and makes peanuts.

“Run a business” and “very successful” is pretty subjective. Tboy is an insane leftist so I can guarantee you he probably makes BLM t shirts.

What kind of government do you have in mind? One that would guarantee the solvency of all business enterprises?

I sound like a realist. Thousands of private businesses are flourishing despite the Ukraine War?

The US is a capitalist country. Thousands of entrepreneurs succeed but thousands fail. Some are fortunate, some are great business people and make money. War or no war.

I laid off 4 direct employees (my business is mostly subs and I lost a lot of them too) over the past few years.

When CV hit I went from billing over $3.6 million the year before to a little less than half that in short time and we still aren't back to our original numbers so I have not hired back.

Taking away someone's livelihood is never easy and my prices are set by industry-accepted cost estimators and literally Congress so I can't just "raise prices" to keep people on staff. I also can't take bigger margins and screw my subs or they walk.
