God damn you frickers can't read. He went to the ER because he couldn't breathe. Any doctor will tell you to go to the ER if

1) You can't breathe

2) You have severe chest pain

3) You have severe headaches out of nowhere (especially if accompanied by dizziness or slurred speech).

OP did the right thing, especially considering he is mid 50's and in a prime age to have a heart attack or something.

Remember we had that OT posting baw die the other day with Covid. He got a home test and tested positive but told his friends he was gonna be a big baw and wait to go to the doctor on Monday. They found him dead at his house the next morning. He went from mild symptoms to DEAD overnight. He was early 40's.

If I suspect I have Covid and can't fricking breathe, I am going to the ER too. frick all that dying shite.

Our doctor told us yesterday our 38 year old son should have lifelong antibodies now that he’s getting over it

He's not much of a doctor if he said you son has 'lifelong antibodies' unless he expects your son to die in the near future. No one knows at this point how long the antibodies actually last in our system once we have covid.

my sister in-law had to get tested for a school event and her test came back positive while she showed not one single symptom. Her boyfriend went at the same time to get tested and his negative. she went to a different facility for another test and it came back negative. the second place she went was more of a trusted place that i told her to try. doc told her that the other place probably had the cycles on a different setting to give a false positive.

Best of recovery wishes for you my friend.

You’ll be back on your feet in no time, shooting hogs in cornfields for dinner.

Here is what the OP said:

had trouble breathing. Went to the ER around 11 last night, mainly to get tested

Seems as if you're the one who can't read very well.

The doc was cool, he’s cutting me lose as we speak. No, I have no health problems whatsoever

Must have been pretty serious if you went to the ER at 3am on a Tuesday morning. Hope you recover ASAP OP, glad it’s not as bad as expected.

It's not pride, it's the ability to think rationally. Go to the ER when you have an emergency. Getting sick isn't an emergency. Being unable to breath is.

If only there was a measure that could be taken to prevent certain ER visits….naaah give me horse dewormer instead

At your age (mine,too-- I'm right there with you), you go the ER if you legitimately can't breathe right, COVID season or not.

Guys our age drop dead when they ignore stuff like that. Screw anybody who laughs.

Did you do all of your research on all of the side effects of those before taking?

You still trust those? Sheep. Any poster can read and interpret data just as well as any doctor.

My Uncle Jim started coming down with the Covid sniffles a week ago. After feeling short of breath, he began drinking Ivermectin horse paste and doctor shopped until he got ahold of some HCQ. He went from sattin’ in the 70s back to the mid- to upper 90s OVERNIGHT.

Anyway the ER doctor just came in and said I’ll be fine , he’s releasing me and giving me antibiotics , and he doesn’t expect to see me again.

Good luck on getting past it. Not sure why people are having trouble with you going to the ER. Breathing is a fairly essential function, or at least that is what the doctors say.

Tested positive to the new test, the old test, the one they've said was giving false positives? It's all BS. The Propaganda Machine is crushing the truth.
