Yeah, I don't think there's any need to actually go to war with Venezuela. What they're already doing is effective.

So if not for Venezuelan trafficking in Cocaine, we wouldn't have a Fentanyl zombie problem?
And speaking of "thugs", how about the American and EU thugs who've insisted on flooding both continents with dangerous 3rd world invaders? Forced the mRNA jab on a billion people? Stolen trillions from the American people?
"Thugs" is relative.

No pass from me. This has nothing to do with fentanyl and it's 100% a campaign promise broken.
The people have no representatives in our government anymore. Sure as frick can't vote democrat, and the republicans are the same fricking party.

Only Congress can declare war.
But we've been operating on end-arounds for decades that allow us to engage in "temporary" and "limited" campaigns lawfully.
At least a "temporary" campaign in Venezuela would accomplish something that directly affects our national security and citizens, as opposed to just throwing hundreds of billions at Ukraine and Israel and the Taliban for nothing while being subverted from within.
Fentanyl is a problem. Colombian and Venezuelan narcotics are a problem. TDA and cartels are a problem. China's involvement has at least been addressed on the surface, but there's still work to be done. China is assho.

If he wants to send ground troops, no good.
If he is talking about using aircraft and drones to blow up some narco warehouses, productions facilities, etc. for two or three days.....meh.

We will not be declaring war against Venezuela. Put down the brown bag. It's ok.

There is zero evidence that Venezuela is the lynchpin of the fentanyl crisis.
I'm laughing because it's pretty much a joke of an excuse.
These are the reasons IMO:
Fentanyl: 1%.
Selling oil to China and voiding the dollar to make the trade: 69%.
Venezuela using oil dollars to cozy up to Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas: 30%

At least voting republican and it they win we get a couple of bones thrown our way. Not much but slightly better than Democrats.

You’re an idiot!
I would apply that label to the people to believe any old bullshite that's thrown their way to justify yet another unneeded and ruinously expensive overseas war. Especially when it happens every 15 years or so.
But you did make really great arguments about why Venezuela is key to the fentanyl crisis, so maybe you're right. They probably have some-a-them weapons of mass destruction too. Mmm-hmm.

Also just good old fashioned regime change. Domino theory and all that stuff. It has been working really great for us over the last 75 years.

Surely he’ll talk about a number of things but touting his economic successes following a disastrous 5 years will be the central theme

Who has the power to declare war slick?

Haven't you heard? Venezuela is now designated a "Terrorist" state. That gives this regime change war...er...Imperial mission "legitimacy".
